With so many rules coming out each month for how to cleanse your face correctly, one that I always stand by and has really helped me is washing my face with lukewarm water. Washing your face (and body) with really hot water, although it feels great especially in the winter months, is 👏🏼not👏🏼good👏🏼for👏🏼your👏🏼skin

If you feel like your acne is worsening, your skin is more inflamed and red after the shower/washing your face, your skin stings when applying moisturizer, you have dry patches, or just a general feeling of dryness.. you are most likely using hot water and stripping your skin of its very necessary natural oils. Try lowering the temperature of your water, and maybe even finish off your cleansing with ice cold water (if you’re crazy like me). This will help alleviate redness, puffiness and irritation 👑
