Big changes are coming to SJ + Alliekay Artistry, starting in November. Allie has made the tough decision to step away from styling hair to focus more on her family. Below is more on her decision to do so.

Moving forward, makeup services will still be offered by .pnw
Shelby + Allie may still work together in the future (if Allie decides to come out of retirement 🤪) but until then we both have loved working with all of our amazing clients together. We do know though, the importance of family and know although the dynamics have changed, the incredible memories are still there.

Allie’s statement:
“I spent my whole life always daydreaming of these big career dreams I had. The first woman in the NBA, a hot shot lawyer… the list was endless.
As I went through motherhood I found myself feeling lost & unsettled and I figured it was probably because I needed more.
So I’ve dabbled in a few things here and there and when I started styling hair I really did feel something different.
It challenged me and excited me and gave me something to always be learning and working on.
Being apart of people’s big moments has given me so many special memories I will remember forever.
But Along the way, I started to feel a deep nudge to be home more. My kids are growing up so fast; I’ll never get this time back with them or my husband, my family will never get these summers together back again & if that means I need to give up a successful business so that I can sit on the soccer field sidelines, wake up every Saturday and Sunday with them, make lunches, join the pta, and shuttle my kids to and from practice nonstop then I am happy and grateful to be able to do that.
So With that being said, I have made the hard decision to officially close my books while I refocus on my family starting in November.”

Our 2024 goals are to continue serving beautiful fun brides of course but we’d love to do more elopements. The 1:1 experience with a bride is just an unmatched experience.

No matter the reason or the occasion we will take care of all your glam needs.

Did you know lighting makes a massive difference when it comes to how your hair style or makeup looks. During your appointment we will work in our studio and then bring you out into the hallway to show you how everything looks in natural light. The studio lights can make the makeup appear a little more harsh, whereas the natural light makes it look more soft and natural.

We also take into consideration what type of setting you’ll be in. Will you be indoors, or outside? We want your hair and makeup to look amazing no matter the lighting situation. We want you to not only look great in photos but in person as well 😍

We have a soft spot for the moms… because we are both moms ourselves. We understand that when you plan and schedule family photos, how important it is to you. These might be the only photos you’re in with your kids. Unless you are lucky enough to have a spouse who captures photos of you.
Hair + makeup may not be something that is top priority for you, but what if you allowed someone else to get YOU ready? What if you got that little extra boost of confidence and you got yourself pampered so you can in turn take care of everyone else?
