Locals Barbershop

Hi everyone - if you have talked to me in the last 2 months, you have probably heard about Emily and I moving to Muskegon. This weekend has been one of the toughest times for us. Our house, which we’ve poured our heart and soul into, caught fire early Sunday morning and destroyed the majority of the home. We are thankful that nobody was home when this occurred but are now left picking up the pieces.

We had planned to move in this coming Wednesday, as we close the sale of our house in Grand Rapids this Friday. Due to everything that’s happened, I wanted to inform as many of my clients as possible that I will be out of the shop this week + possibly a little bit longer in an attempt to get our new reality figured out.

If you haven’t already seen on the website, our buddy is joining us in the shop for this upcoming Friday and Saturday. Nick and I met at Lansing Barber College and have been good buddies since. He won’t be here long so come grab a haircut from him while you can - you won’t regret it!

We tried it and we did not like it! Beginning this Saturday, we’re going to switch to appointments for Saturdays as opposed to doing walk-ins.

Books are open now for the same hours, 10AM - 2PM. We hope to see you then, with an appointment!

hi friends - just wanted to let you know that for some reason we have decided to be open 6AM - 10PM on Friday December 22 (our last day for appointments before Christmas).

While we will likely regret doing this when we are in the thick of it, we are quite excited right now and hope that you will come hang with us!

Whether it is at sunrise or sunset, we hope that you will come join us for a haircut, donuts, and coffee - and maybe a lil switch of drinks later in the day 😉

Hi friends of Locals. We wanted to let you know that starting December 1st, we'll be implementing a slight price adjustment at Locals.

The prices of each service will be going up by $5.00. This change allows us to keep providing the excellent services that you have came to know and love.

We want to let you know that we did not make this decision lightly. There are many factors that’s play in to price changes like this. To keep up with the rising costs of operating a small business as well as the inflation felt in our day to day life, we feel this is a necessary step.
