Friends, today I am marking the end of an era, as it is my last day as the owner of Wanderlux.

A dream that started in my mind, became a reality in my basement, moved to a tiny room in heritage hill, took a short stint in a retail space on Commerce, and eventually flourished in our beautiful home on Wealthy; this dream has survived the thick and thin of the last six years and will now be fully driven into the future by the best female duo I could have hoped for. Two friends that are some of the most driven and passionate people I know and who will treat the team and the business with integrity and care. Great things are ahead!

When I set out to build a place that offered respite and self-care for the people in our community, I never imagined it would have grown into what it is today. I attribute Wanderlux’s success to so many of you. It's been a true journey of growth, grief, love, sacrifice, and reward, and I've learned so much through the process.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting me, the mission of Wanderlux, and my team. I want to express my fullest gratitude to our loyal clients, the community, and our amazing staff, past and present. Without all of you, Wanderlux would not be what it is today. I'm truly grateful for everything and everyone who has played a part in the journey. Such an amazing team full of people I genuinely love and respect.

When the going got tough in the early days/weeks/months of the pandemic, a close-knit community of local business owners came together to support one another. In those times of chaos and uncertainty, Erin Dressander and Lauren Glowacki (owners of E & L Salon) became more than peers to me, they became my great friends. As we walked the journey of small business ownership together over the past three years, I felt a shift inside of me. Through many, many, MANY sleepless nights, I wrestled with the idea of letting go of this dream and leaning into my family, my own personal health, and my friendships. Erin and Lauren serendipitously showed interest in taking up the torch and continuing to bring the magic to Wanderlux. Honestly, I don’t think I could have let go of the business without such incredible hands to pass it off to, and now here we are.

This is a moment for me. To have spent over six years creating something out of nothing and to let that dream go and move on is both melancholy and energizing. I know it’s the right time with the right people at the helm, but damn, it’s hard. Wanderlux is a dream come true and I can’t wait to see it continue to grow and thrive. I also can’t wait for it to become my personal place of respite and care as a faithful client.

To all of you who have believed in me, supported me, and helped me live an authentic life for the last six years, thank you. I am truly grateful for everyone's support.

✨ M E E T M I C H E L L E ✨ Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Naturopath, Meditation teacher. Michelle is magical with her skill set and if you’ve seen her, you know. ✨ She was definitely meant for this healing work and is dedicated to keeping up with her education. She has 20 years experience and has been with Wanderlux for 2 years (almost to the day) and we couldn’t be happier she’s on our team! She truly cares about every one of her clients and always makes sure they’re taken care of no matter what.

Michelle is a mother of 3 and during her time off she loves competing in triathalons (completed Ironman in 2019!) and spending time with family.

Michelle currently has a full book of amazing loyal clients, but every now and then we’re able to sneak in a new client on a last minute cancellation! Keep trying on that waitlist, and know if you’re not able to get in, we do plan on offering some workshops this fall so she can share that knowledge with more of you.

When launched their new mineral sunscreen we were crossing our fingers and hoping we’d love it. As usual, we’re obsessed with it! This lightweight broad spectrum SPF doubles as your daily moisturizer and is great for all skin types… even those with problematic skin that usually fear those heavy spfs that can lead to breakouts.

These beautiful microgreens have a higher concentration of vitamins C & E than spinach and also abundantly concentrated in vitamin A (Carotenoids) – as much as carrots!
