This page will be deleted in 14 days. I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your support! I wish you all the best, and I will miss you!
Its looking like I will be retiring from hair much sooner than I anticipated. I don't have an exact date, but it will be soon. I have very limited openings before I leave.
After 31 years, and a whole lot of time really considering this decision, September 26th, i will be permanently closing and retiring from the business. Though this will bring me a bit of sadness and a whole lot of change, it is time. Thank you all for the many years!
And the countdown begins. 3 hours and I start my 1st day back in the salon.
Good morning!!
Its official, Josephine county has been approved. I'm hoping everything I need will be here by Wednesday so I can open that day. We have some changes to make in the salon over the weekend, and then Monday I will start calling and making appointments! You will be hearing from me in the very near future to get you in.
I hope that you are all enjoying the break from the heat. We really do need the rain.
It is so frustrating trying to keep you up to date, when we get no further information. Even if Josephone county gets the green light, there is still the issue of what do we really need, and when can we get it in our hands by. I really wish no hopeful date would have been mentioned.
That being said, at this time I am not booking anyone, not until I get the green light. It is just too hard to rearrange if I have to. Also, please, please be patient, whether it be with me or another hairstylist. Myself, I have a list, and it is getting longer, but please remember when you request an appointment, if you weren't someone I had to cancel due to closures, you probably wont get in the 1st couple of weeks. I know that is hard to hear, but it is the only right way for me to handle booking. From there I will go down my list. I do have a couple that have requested specific dates for specific reasons and I will do the best I can to accommodate you.
Remember, there is not one person out there that has not been affected by this so let's be kind, and please be patient.
Thank you
Between last night and this morning, I have ordered everything I need to open by the guidelines we are to follow. The problem...I'm not sure it will all be here by the 15th. We are still waiting for that stamp of approval too!
I spent my morning listening to Kate Browns press conference. As long as Josephine County gets their application in and approved the opening date will be the 15th. I will do the best I can to get you all appointment in a timely manner however, I will be continuing to only work 2 days a week, Wednesdays and Fridays.
As soon as i know the application as been approved i will begin calling all of you. In the meantime I will be getting things ready to ensure all of the guidelines given are met.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Oh and also, be prepared, I'm so doing before and after pictures!!!
😎🤣
I am beginning to see a lot of updates. It seems that I "may" be able to open May 15th. I am waiting for the ok from the governor. Because nothing is set in stone, I will not be taking appointments until we have confirmation. I have many of you on my list already.
In the meantime, some guidelines that I have seen and want you all to be aware of. I will be following all guidelines that I am given by our state board. Everything will be sanitized at the beginning of the day, between each client, and at the end of the day. I will have freshly clean capes for each one of you, and for myself a clean smock for each client. I will be wearing a mask as well as asking each one of you to wear one. If you dont have one, I will provide one. I will only be able to have one client at a time, so if you arrive early, please wait in your car until I give you the ok, and please dont bring anyone with you to your appointment. When you enter the salon, I will have hand sanitizer for you to use. Booking will also look a bit different. I will be limiting the amount of clients I see each day, and booking a bit more time for each client. I also have to take your information, address and phone number, as well as the date you were in and the amount of time spent. I will have to hold onto this info for 60 days. If there happens to be a covid 19 outbreak, this information must be given to the health department.
I will let you know as soon as I have more information!
I am looking forward to see all of you.

No, this is not me.
Life in the salon may look a whole lot different in the future. We are slowly getting guidelines and they are sounding pretty strict.
Just an update.
