A full service salon with the one on one attention that you deserve. I started For the Love of Hair in June of 2015.

My goal was to create a space of tranquility with the sole purpose of focusing on my clients. I love to get to know each one of my clients and give their hair the best of me. It is just me and you, without the drama and the noise often encountered in large salons.

Rich brunette doesn’t have to mean one flat color.

A few strategically placed ribbons of warmth can create movement, shine, and dimension without turning you blonde.

My favorite color transformations are the ones that still feel like you—just elevated.

Would you try a dimensional brunette?

Hi, I’m Katie. 💙

I realized I’ve shared a lot of beautiful hair over the years, but not much about the person behind the chair.

I’ve been a hairstylist for 18 years, and if there’s one thing I hope every client leaves knowing, it’s that they were genuinely cared for.

To me, great hair is about so much more than color or a haircut. It’s about listening to your goals, being honest about what’s realistic, protecting the health of your hair, and creating something that makes you feel like the best version of yourself.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ve probably noticed I talk a lot about healthy hair. That’s because I truly believe beautiful hair starts with healthy hair. I’ll never push your hair beyond what it can safely handle just to chase a trend or create a dramatic before-and-after.

When you’re in my chair, I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident that your hair is in good hands. Whether we’re creating a subtle refresh or working toward a bigger transformation over time, my goal is always the same: beautiful results without compromising the integrity of your hair.

Outside of the salon, I’m a proud mom, a Harley rider, a plant lover, and someone who’s always learning and growing. Those parts of my life remind me that the best things are built with patience, care, consistency and I bring that same mindset into every appointment.

Whether you’ve been with me for years or you’re just finding my page, thank you for being here. It truly means more than you know.

I’d love to get to know you too! If we’ve never met, tell me something about yourself in the comments. 💛

✨ Sometimes the healthiest choice isn’t the fastest one.

My guest came in wanting a bold, high-contrast blonde transformation, and I completely understood the vision. 🤍

But because it was her first visit with me, my priority wasn’t just creating beautiful hair; it was learning what her hair could safely handle.

Could I have pushed it further? Maybe.

Would it have been worth risking the integrity of her hair? Absolutely not.

Healthy hair will always be my priority. I’d rather create a beautiful first step and keep your hair strong than push it too far and leave you with breakage, damage, or that dreaded “cotton candy” feeling.

Hair transformations are a journey, not a race. When we respect the hair, we create results that last.

If you’re looking for a stylist who will always be honest about what’s best for your hair; even if it means taking the slower route—I’m your girl

✨ Sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t going lighter… it’s getting rid of years of warmth and creating a color that actually complements you.

Today we refreshed this grown-out blonde by keeping her brunette rich and dimensional while softening the ends into a creamy beige blonde. No harsh lines. No brass. Just a seamless blend that will grow out beautifully.

Healthy-looking color isn’t always about being brighter it’s about creating balance, shine, and tones that make your hair look expensive.

Would you choose a warm blonde or a soft beige blonde? 👇

Sometimes the goal isn’t a dramatic change… it’s making your natural hair shine. ✨

My client wanted to keep her natural color as the star of the show while adding soft, dimensional ribbons that grow out beautifully. The result? Hair that catches the light, adds movement, and stays low maintenance between appointments.

Not every color appointment has to be high contrast or high upkeep. Sometimes the best transformations are the ones that make people wonder why your hair just looks so good.

Perfect for anyone who wants:
🤎 Natural-looking dimension
✨ Easy grow-out
🌿 Less maintenance
💛 Hair that looks brighter without looking overdone

If you’ve been wanting a color that works with your natural hair instead of covering it up, let’s talk.

🐈‍⬛ Calico Hair, but make it wearable. 🧡🤎✨

When my client said she wanted something different, we leaned all the way in.

Inspired by the beautiful mix of colors you see on a calico cat, we created a custom blend of rich brunette, warm copper, and pops of blonde that peek through with movement. Every section was placed with intention, making this color completely unique to her.

This is the kind of hair that turns heads because it’s unexpected—but still feels soft, dimensional, and wearable.

This is why a service provider requires a credit card to book. And then don’t be this client!

✨ Sometimes a few inches and the right placement make all the difference.

My guest was ready to say goodbye to the grown-out ends and refresh her color without signing up for high-maintenance hair.

We softened, brightened, and created a more seamless blend while giving her a fresh cut that instantly made her hair look healthier, fuller, and more polished.

The best part? It will grow out beautifully and keep that effortless, lived-in look between appointments.

Who else loves a hair transformation that feels natural, low-maintenance, and still makes you feel like your best self? 💛

💛 Why does blonde hair turn brassy? 💛

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that brassiness means your stylist did something wrong.

The truth is that blonde hair naturally reveals warm pigments over time. Things like sun exposure, heat styling, hard water, chlorine, product buildup, and even regular washing can cause your toner to fade and those warm tones to peek through.

The good news? Brassiness is completely normal and manageable! ✨

A few ways to keep your blonde looking fresh longer:

✔️ Use professional shampoo & conditioner
✔️ Always use heat protection
✔️ Use purple shampoo as recommended
✔️ Consider a shower filter if you have hard water
✔️ Schedule gloss/toner appointments between blonding services

Every blonde is unique, which is why I customize each color formula and maintenance plan to fit your lifestyle and goals.

Blondes, what’s your biggest struggle—brassiness, dryness, or keeping your color bright between appointment?

There is something so empowering about finding a haircut that truly fits YOU. ✨

Not every woman wants long layers. Not every woman wants the latest trend. Sometimes the perfect haircut is the one that works with your lifestyle, your hair texture, your face shape, and the amount of time you actually want to spend styling it.

This beautiful pixie-inspired cut was designed to give her softness, movement, and an easy-to-style look that she can feel confident wearing every day.

The best part? Seeing her smile when she realized this haircut was exactly what she had been looking for. ❤️

Thinking about making a change but feeling nervous? Let’s chat. Together we’ll create a look that feels like YOU.
