Y’all aren’t gonna believe want I’m about to do!
To each of our valued clients,
No doubt that we are living in strange days. I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen days like these, not even after 9/11. Though I know that we’ll get through all of this and it will fade into a memory, I think it’s important that we look at where we are and we acknowledge our responsibilities to one another.
By all accounts, this Coronavirus is an potential monster and one that we’ll be living with for some time. It’s plain to see all the weirdness all around us. All the basketball tournaments, concerts, gatherings, the furniture market, community events, and now schools. Cancelled, postponed, suspended. Local companies having their employees work from home, or people being laid off.
We’ve all heard how we are supposed to keep ourselves safe, so you don’t need us to tell you anything about that. You guys do all the right things on your side of the table and we’ll do more than our part as well.
We’re all going to avoid putting ourselves in the midst of any unnecessary crowds. We’re all going to eat the right stuff, get some exercise, drink plenty of water, and get enough sleep. We’re going to sit out in the sunshine.
We’re going to be really careful with the most vulnerable in our little family. We’re going to look out for each other. We’re going to see who might need a little extra help in these trying times, and we’re going to help them if we can.
We’re going to pick each other up when we’re down. We going to watch each other’s kids if they need it.
We’re going to wash our hands. A LOT...going ABOVE and BEYOND NC State Board of Cosmetic Arts mandatory sanitary regulations.
We’re going to smile at each other. Laugh with each other, pray for each, and God forbid, cry with each other.
If we have more than we need, we’re going to share with those that don’t have enough. Because that’s who we are and what we do.
We’re going to be smart. We’re going to be kind. We’re going to be considerate.
We’re going to love each other. And, this will pass.
But in the meantime, we’re going to be in our seat every day, doing what we do best, every day that we can. We look forward to seeing you there, too.
This is big, but not as big as we are.
(I’ve tried many times to write something similar to this post but it wasn’t until I read one from a neighboring small business that I had to borrow it. I feel the need to disclose the majority of this post was written by someone else.)
