The best SPF is the one you actually apply correctly. βοΈ
Most people are only applying 25β50% of the recommended amount, which can cut your sun protection dramatically no matter what number is on the bottle.
The rule is simple: apply generously, reapply every 2 hours, and don't forget your ears, neck, and hands. A well-applied SPF 30 will protect you better than a poorly applied SPF 50 every single time. ππΌ

Let's talk about something I get asked about a lot: Is professional grade skincare actually worth it?
The short answer is yes, but here's why.
It's not just about the product itself. Drugstore skincare is formulated to be gentle enough for everyone, which means it's not specific enough for anyone.
Professional grade products use higher quality ingredients at higher concentrations that are actually designed to create real change in your skin.
But honestly the biggest difference isn't even the formula. It's having someone who knows your skin guiding the process. The wrong product at the wrong concentration can do more harm than good. That's why a customized routine will always outperform anything you put together off a shelf.
If you've been using the same products for a while and not seeing results, it might be time to switch it up. Send me a message and let's figure out what your skin actually needs π€

June is Acne Awareness Month and as an acne specialist I wanted to share some dos and don'ts that don't always get talked about enough ππΌ
β
DO wear SPF even when you're actively treating acne. Sun exposure makes post-acne marks darker and harder to fade.
β DON'T skip it just because your skin is oily. It's one of the most common mistakes I see.
β
DO change your pillowcase at least twice a week. Bacteria, oil, and product buildup transfers back onto your skin every single night.
β DON'T underestimate how much the small habits affect your skin.
β
DO exfoliate but keep it to 2-3 times a week max.
β DON'T overdo it. Stripping your skin barrier actually triggers more oil production and makes breakouts worse.
Acne is so much more than a skincare issue and treating it the right way makes all the difference. ππ»ββοΈ

It's Skin Cancer Awareness Month and I have to talk about sunscreen π
Skipping SPF isn't just about sunburns. Over time it leads to premature aging, dark spots, worsening acne scars, and an increased risk of skin cancer. And yes, this applies even on cloudy days.
It's the one step I see people skip the most and honestly it's the most important one. Protect your skin daily! π€
This is your sign to book a facialπ€
Did you know π ... Two of the most common causes of breakouts around the mouth and chin have nothing to do with your skincare routine?
Fluoride toothpaste and your partner's beard oil can both transfer onto your skin and clog your pores without you even realizing it.
Have you ever thought about either of these being a trigger for you? π€
We will have this conversation as many times as you need. π
Purging is REAL and it means your skin is actually doing the work. Stick with it, I promise itβs worth it!
