Hello everyone! After taking time off for the past six months to care for my father, I am returning back to the salon on a part time basis. I will return to the salon, Artistic Cutters, on Monday, April 6th. My schedule will be:
Monday 6:30p- 9:30p
Friday 6:30p- 9:30p
Saturday 9a- 2p
Sunday 10a- 6p

I am still caring for my dad M-F during the day, so unfortunately my schedule will remain very limited for the foreseeable future. I am so excited to see everyone! I have missed y’all like crazy ❤️.

Hello to my favorite salon guests ❤️. I have reached out to many of you already, but still have a few more people to contact. Effective immediately I am going on a leave of absence from the salon.

As many of you know, my dad’s health is declining. Unfortunately, we are at a stage with Dad’s health where he needs full time care. My sister, Dad, and I have made a decision as a family, and I will be fulfilling the full time caretaker role for Dad. This time with him is very precious to me, and I want to be fully present during my time with Dad.

For those of you who I haven’t reached out to yet, I will be doing so in the coming days. I have several wonderful stylists who are helping all of us through this time. I am not sure when I will be back behind the chair.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, compassion, and love. I cannot express how much I adore every single one of you ❤️.

Hello my beautiful salon guests! This post is to notify everyone, effective immediately I will no longer be working Mondays or Tuesdays in the salon for the foreseeable future. Everyone who already has an appt scheduled for either a Monday or Tuesday, will be contacted tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 23 to reschedule your appts.

My in salon days will be Wednesday through Saturday. Thank you all for your continued support, and understanding. Words cannot describe how much I cherish you, and my relationship with each of you ❤️.

In a moment of complete, “This tail has got to go, or I’m shaving my entire head!” impulsiveness, I cut my own hair last week. And, I cut it too short 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️.

However, once I finished my hack job, I looked at all the hair in the sink, and laughed. Mom was notorious for doing the exact thing I had just done 😆. That’s probably one of the reasons I went into cosmetology in the first place 😊. After I had the thought about Mom, I looked in the mirror and saw her face staring back at me. We look just alike.

I miss my momma like crazy. I still reach for the phone when I need to ask a ‘mom’ question. Moments like last week though, are small glimmers in this grief that never goes away.

Carol Dunn, you’ve passed down more than just your laughter and curly hair ❤️.

Alright my beautiful salon friends, most of you said you enjoy our one on one time in a suite vs being in an open air salon because we do discuss some very personal things. I VALUE EVERY SINGLE ONE of you, and I am so thankful you view our time together as a safe space ❤️. We are now back at Artistic Cutters in the same spa building. I can’t wait to see y’all there! 😍
