Seems like I have certainly been tried with this one. Patience. Trying to fix problems my way and not waiting for his direction or say so and end up in more despair than relief. Stupid right. Yeah pretty dumb. Being stubborn and careless of his voice will only cost you more than anything you can imagine. Learning the hard way is going to put you down a dark path that makes you hide things, hiding your shame, your guilt, your feelings, your actions. This will cause all these things to build up into a large black hole and eventually suck you in so deep it will take more than effort to dig your way out. So dont do it your way. Wait for his direction. I can say I have been here more times than o can count on my fingers and my toes.

What does God want you to do while you’re waiting on an answer to your prayer?

Psalm 37:7 says, “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act” (NLT, second edition). God wants you to wait patiently for him to answer your prayer.

Have you noticed that we don’t mind waiting as long as we can grumble while we wait? We don’t mind waiting in the DMV line as long as we can gripe and complain about how lousy and unorganized the government is. But God says, “Be still.”

Like little 2-year-olds, we get the spiritual wiggles while we’re waiting for God to answer a prayer. We get nervous and restless. We want to jump up and do something. But God says, “Wait patiently. Be still. Watch me act. Don’t get restless, don’t get nervous, and don’t try to take matters into your own hands.”

And, don’t ever make Abraham’s mistake in the Old Testament of trying to be the answer to your own prayer. It will cause all kinds of problems! One day God told Abraham that he was going to make him the father of a great nation. There were only two problems: Abraham was 99 years old, and he was childless. Abraham looked at his own body and said, “No way, Jose!” And he looked at his wife Sarah, who was infertile, and said, “Double no way! It ain’t gonna happen.”

This hit the nail on the head. I've never been Good with change or surprises. Even if it was good change or good surprise. Just you adjust to a certain way of things and changing it can be a bit scary. Anxiety sets in and it stinks. I've been having lots if change anxiety lately. New year is coming, new schedule, new things, new people, and opportunities. This can be a bit overwhelming. I pray that I can become better with change. That my new year is resolution. Being better with change and adjusting to it with out anxiety. I dont want to be stuck in the past. 2020 is coming. What's your resolution for the new year?
