Hi guys, Megan here!
Wow, 2020 was something, huh? Has this year left you wanting a change? I know it has for me! At this point, I’m ready to pack up and quarantine on an island with a margarita in hand. But with two kids, a business to run, and flights limited anyway, I’ll just continue what I do best. Hair educating!
Although Covid has hit us all hard and even made some of us question if we want to stay in this industry, it was also an opportunity for most of us to take a step back, breathe, and come back ready to grow more than ever! There's a lot of extension methods and techniques out there. But what sets me apart is my attention to detail. I like extensions to look the most natural and like they are growing out of your head.
(Just to be clear, my work is on the right. 😜)
𝙇𝙚𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜.
This tends to be a taboo subject that we all hate to address, but I'm here to tell you, we all go through it! Hair shedding happens to all of us, every day.
If you've ever wondered if extensions are making your hair fall out, think about this. Our hair sheds every day and with the hair people trapped in beads for 8 weeks, we're not brushing all the shedding out. So when you see some hair "coming out" at your next moveup, remember.. that hair is natural shedding!
In my case, I just had a baby. I have virgin hair and don't do anything to cause it to fall out. But any moms out there can back me up that we all lose a little after our precious babies are born.
I like to clean my brush after every single time I brush my hair to assess how much is coming out. If you notice more than usual, then you can let your professional or doctor know and proceed from there.

Everyone knows I am O👏🏼C👏🏼D👏🏼 about my hand painting. I love a perfect process where the application looks like art. I shed a little tear when it's time to rinse it out!

Absolutely obsessed with this makeover. You're going to want to swipe for the before on this one!
3 rows of 22" custom colored hand tied extensions.
When you're going from a blunt bob to extra long length, you have to do two things:
ONE- use more wefts of extensions (3-4 rows vs 2)
TWO- texturize your real hair to get rid of the blunt line or you'll have a fancy mullet!

Finally posting these amazing shots from my maternity shoot. These were taken just days before Sophia was born. Being pregnant during quarantine definitely gave me all the feelings and stress but this photoshoot uplifted me right in time for my delivery. I'm so grateful to my body and keeping my baby safe. I will always be amazed at what a woman's body can do!
Thank you so much for making me feel like a powerful beautiful woman.

Extensions should be seamless.
They are an extension of your real hair and should mimic your real hair. When Leslie first came to me, she wasn't open to extensions because she's only ever seen them looking fake. It didn't take much convincing when I showed her my work, so we added just one row for fullness and let me tell you! I think I changed her opinion of extensions. Her own boyfriend couldn't even tell it wasn't real. *mic drop*
