This day always feels heavy.
I was late for hair school and had pulled into the parking lot when I heard on the Hawk and Tom morning show about the first plane hitting. I was young, and didnt realize the full impact of what was happening. When I got inside, we all sat around the TV to watch the news when the second plane hit. That's when it hit me..I am watching history as America is being attacked on our own soil. Then the buildings collapse. We gasp..we cry. Some people start calling friends and family to check on them as they lived in NY. We were silent. I remember the TV's were not hooked up to cable and we were piling foils on the antenna so we wouldnt lose the channel. We were scared. Some people went and clocked out and went home. I prayed for the first responders and families of those affected.
This is what I later learned inspired my husband to become a firefighter. He knew a fireman that responded that day in NY to the twin towers and heard his story later, and decided that was what he wanted to do with his life. Now our oldest son is training to follow in the footsteps of the brave men and women who responds to calls of help like this one. "Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day?" We remember. Love and prayers still to all the families that were affected by September 11, 2001. Thank you to all who risk their lives so that Americans hopefully don't feel this feeling again.

Today we mourn the loss of an icon. She has been a hero of mine for a long time. If you have been in the salon, you have seen our love for this beautiful soul. Her love for Jesus and the way she saw the world was always my favorite thing about her. Rest high on the mountain, sweet Dolly! You will be missed!

Shear Faith Style Studio has availabilities for a full time and a part time stylist starting immediately! Downtown Greer is growing, ya'll, and we need to add a couple of talented, driven stylists to our team. We provide your station, plenty of storage, washer/dryer on site, breakroom amenities, online booking, yearly professional photos for socials and advertising needs, website, and so much more. We are looking for someone who is looking to level up to be their own boss but still be part of a team environment. Meet Megan George..aka dark headed Megan! Megan has been with us part time for a while and has recently decided to go full time!
