Two layer sourdough chocolate cake.

* 1 cup (275 g) sourdough discard
* 1 cup oil (I’ve used vegetable and olive oil)
* 1 1/2 cups sugar
* 3 large eggs
* 1 cup all-purpose or cake flour
* 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/3 cup cocoa powder
*
* Chocolate buttercream icing.
* 1 cup (226g) butter, softened to room temperature
* 3 and 1/2 cups (420g) confectioners’ sugar
* 1/2 cup (41g) unsweetened natural or dutch-process cocoa powder
* 3 Tablespoons (45ml) heavy cream at room temperature
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to: 350°
Grease two 9inch cake pans and set aside.

For the cake : combined all wet ingredients with sugar and mix well together until smooth.
In separate bowl, mixed together dry ingredients and then add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix until smooth.

Divide mixture equally into pre-greased cake pans.
Bake for 25 minutes. Check center with toothpick and bake until Toothpick comes out clean...
Cool in pan 5-10 min, and then place on cooling rack inverted. Once cake is cool to touch, place in refrigerator to cool even more.

When cake is in refrigerator cooling, make your icing.
I always double this recipe.

Start by adding room temp butter to bowl and mix until creamy. Once creamy, add in all other ingredients, but add in powdered sugar 1-2 cups at a time until throughly mixed in.
Mix this up real good.
It tastes better that way.
If you have too much frosting, you can store in freezer for up to one month.

After mixing icing, pull cake out of fridge and trim if needed or wanted (not necessary). Assemble cake. Add nuts or any other topping you want.

Enjoy!

She had her brows done years ago but ever went back for the touch up and didn’t like the color.
I corrected her shape, just a little and added some colors to bring her back to mild brown. These brows will lighting about 40% from the color you see in the bottom picture. Her touch up is scheduled for the beginning of august where we will check her color and retention.

Now, that’s a transformation! 😍

Call me to get on the schedule! Wake up with ready to go brows, everyday making life so much easier!

She’s been looking forward to this touch up since her brows healed seven weeks agk. She knew she wanted them darker and thicker, so that’s what we did 🖤

Top picture is before microblading.
Middle picture is right after first appointment.
Bottom picture is directly after initial touchup, which took place eight weeks after first appointment.

We can always go darker, thicker, bigger and more bold, but I’d prefer to start with more subtle and natural in color and shape, so that you can work your way into something more.

Thankful for clients who come from near and far!
This beauty travels from Lake Havasu every couple years so I can touch up her brows.

Yearly touch up’s do not need to occur every “year”. We can do then whenever you feel it’s needed. 😉😍

It’s been a couple years since she had her brows done, by someone else, so we refreshed them and brought these brows back to life! 😍😍
