Day 12 of the 30 day reset from Dr Mindy Pelz book, Fast Like A Girl (FLAG). So I'm currently in my hormone feasting phase which means some healthier carbs. These pancakes tasted delish! I'm curious to see how my blood sugar reading is two hours after this meal. Hoping for a good reading.

My break fast meal today! I always aim to start with veggies before eating anything else and save my fruits if I have them for the end to help blunt the blood sugar spike.

This meal was 21 grams of animal protein from turkey sausages and 8 grams of plant protein from sprouted pumpkin seeds. I also LOVE this dressing from TJs as it has no sugar and provides that Creamy ranch taste without the dairy.

Highly recommend the Yuka app that you can use to scan any product, including food products as well to see how good or how poorly its rated for being safe for your health.

This Bath & Body has got to go cause I definitely do not need any endocrine disruptors in my daily routine.

My breakfast had 39 grams of bioavailable protein. I have made several intentional tweaks and I think it's paying off. Last year I had loat 50 lbs and gone from a tight size 20 to a comfortable size 14. However, due to some intense stress I spent much of this year so far falling on and off the wagon. My scale from Jan thru May crept up 18 lbs!!! When June arrived I was determind to get serious again but this time armed with WAY more knowledge about blood sugar, insulin and our female hormones. I'm determined to kick insulin resistance to the curb and in doing so radically improve my health! I am so happy (and very grateful) to report that my scale has gone DOWN 8 lbs since I've "re-started" and I'm feeling SO hopeful about improving my overall health and losing more weight!

I lost 50 lbs from March to December of 2023 and drastically reduced my inflammatory markers. I've lowered my A1c and even my blood pressure. I went from a tight size 20 to a comfortable size 14. January thru April were ROUGH for our entire family due to various challenges and during that time I veered off the course I had been on. The scale slowly started creeping up and I'm sure my bloodwork numbers would have shown a negative trend had they been retested. Mid-May I got slightly back on track and my scale started trending down again but then stalled out. I was dealing with feeling tired, bloated and battling cravings for junk again. June 10th I embarked on a 14 day gentle total body cleanse with some other ladies and it really was like a reset button for me. During that time I tweaked some things in my diet, did some more researching, read almost two entire books pertaining to health/wellness and learned that I am severely insulin resistant. I am now back on track more than ever and feel like I have SO much more insight into how to best support my own health and help others.

Soooo, back to that community I'm creating. It will be a place of education, inspiration, accountability and encouragement and fun competition at times ;)

I am learning SO much about the importance of balancing blood sugars for optimum health. There are SO many of us with insulin resistance and we don't even know it! And high insulin in the body long term can do SO much damage to our health not to mention contributes to weight gain.

After doing quite a bit of research and digging into my blood work numbers from March 2023 I discovered that I am severely insulin resistant. I truly had NO idea until recently and now that I know, well you know me, I'm like a bull in a China cabinet when I get determined lol. I'm doing a TON of reading and educating myself on ways that I can reverse that insulin resistance and I would LOVE to share all that information with you as I go along. I'd love to share my daily meals visually and my grocery lists. I'd love to host weekly Zoom calls for accountability, encouragement and to answer questions you may have about your specific situation with health etc. I'd love to provide a place where I can offer you personal one-on-one coaching and yet offer you a group, a community to also share in. Research has proven over and over again that there is power in community. If I did provide a place like this it would obviously take quite a bit of my time which I am happy to give (and have given S0 many people over the years freely) but I would need compensated a little. I'm not looking to get rich from this endeavor but I would be grateful to make a little bit of money for my time and effort. Plus, I think we can ALL agree that we value more something we pay for VS when something is totally handed to us for free. A little skin in the game is a great motivator.

I feel like a monthly membership in a private FB group would be ideal. First, would anyone be interested in something like this? And second, how much money would it be worth to you?
