The PCPA is proud to share an exciting update from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) Police Department.

This week, the department was awarded a state-of-the-art digital camera crime scene kit valued at more than $6,000. The equipment was provided through the Criminal Apprehension Technology (CAT) Training Program, an initiative of the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association funded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD).

Through this grant, the PCPA supplied digital camera kits to 43 police departments across Pennsylvania and delivered crime scene photography training to many more. Investments like these strengthen investigative capabilities, enhance evidence documentation, and ultimately support safer communities.

Grateful for the continued partnership and commitment to advancing law enforcement professionalism across the Commonwealth.
