Yesterday, November 05, 2025, while Kenny and I were out and about, I had the pleasure and opportunity to share my personal testimony with two ladies at different locations.
The first lady was our server at the Main Street Cafe in Madison, AL. Her name was Betty, age 62, divorced, and she started sharing with us about her stressful life. She shared how she moved to Madison from Florida last year, and how she missed her friends so much, she moved back to Florida. She still wasn't happy so she moved back to Madison to be near her son. She enjoys being near her son now, and loves her waitress job and the people she works for.
We were there near closing time, 2 pm, and that gave us the opportunity to talk more. Betty was a very good waitress, but had no help and was very tired. Kenny gave her a nice tip, and then I asked him to give her more. He called her over to our table and gave her more and I thought she was going to cry. She said no one had ever given her a tip like that. I just felt she needed it and felt led by the Lord to bless her.
Betty couldn't believe my age (78) and to know I am a 5-time cancer survivor and a delegate in the Ms Senior World Pageants. This BLEW HER AWAY!!! She said, "Libby, you sure give me a lot of hope. Maybe one day I can be as strong as you." She wants to watch the live stream of the MSW Pageants and wants us to come back and see her after the pageant. When we left she was beaming like crazy, and I whispered, "thank you Lord!" 😊
We then walked across the street to the "Noble Passage", a gift shop & fine furniture and interiors. I had never been there and I could tell their store front was all decorated for Christmas and I wanted to go inside. Kenny sat in the car while I looked around. Wow, it was a magical Christmas shop, and quite expensive!!!! While looking around, the lady clerk and I struck up a conversation (she was probably 10 years younger than me), and again I shared that I am a 5-time cancer survivor, about being in the upcoming MSW Pageants, about my songwriting, and how the Lord had blessed me so much. This woman was beaming and so was the male store manager whom I had also struck up a conversation with and gave my pageant card. They said, "Libby you are one blessed woman, and we are so happy you stopped in and shared with us, today. You are certainly a walking and talking miracle!" I left the store and once again whispered, "thank you, Lord!"
I didn't leave empty handed, though. A big pair of solid white reindeer caught my eye and will soon grace our Christmas dining table!
What a wonderful day to share the Lord and my life's blessings!!! ☺️ ❤️🙏❤️☺️

We're HOME from my birthday celebration in Nashville, and what a marvelous 27 hours it has been! ❤️🎂🍰🎈🍰🎂❤️
My heart was so full this morning, I couldn't help but shed some happy tears.
It all began in Franklin, TN, yesterday afternoon. Kenny loves antiques and we stopped in at two antique stores before making our way over to the Harpeth Hotel for dinner and music festivities. For dinner we had delicious grilled salmon in orange sauce, roasted potato, and sautéed asparagus in lemon sauce. Dessert was scrumptous cheesecake with both caramel sauce and blueberries. We enjoyed 3 hours (7-10 pm) of pop, rock, and country music, by my Nashville demo singer and special friend, Melissa DuVall. Myself a songwriter, Melissa's rich vocals on my gospel songs have made them praiseworthy. During her singing break, Melissa afforded me time to wear my MSW sash and crown for photos with lounge attendees. What fun, especially with the little princess, Winslow. She was fascinated with my crown and I let her wear it for a photo.
This morning, Kenny and I attended First Southern Methodist Church on Colorado Ave. in Nashville, for their morning service. Two missionaries, a married couple from the island of Crypus, were guest speakers. Jack W. Davis is the Pastor there, and he, his wife Joyce, and family were in my music life back in 1995-97. At that time Jack was a member of the Southern Gospel group, New Hope Quartet, of Mt. Juliet, TN, where he sang baritone. That group recorded some of my songs and they soon became like family to Millage and I.
We were a little late for church because of a bad traffic accident on I-65 North, and we slipped in and surprised them. It had been close to 30 years since visiting with them, and it was a birthday wish of mine to see them again. They are a precious part of the family of God!
After church, Kenny drove us downtown to the historic Hermitage Hotel, where we visited with beautiful Debbie Watts, MS SENIOR WORLD NATIONAL QUEEN, 2023. Debbie invited me for a photo shoot before her 2 pm performance at the piano, during tea. We celebrated both our birthdays, her's yesterday, and mine tomorrow, and exchanged a small gift.
Debbie is a sweetie, and we both enjoyed spending time with her.
We stopped for a late lunch off I-65 South, on the way home, where we reminisced about my birthday good times. What a great 27 hours of birthday celebration! Thank you Kenny, and thank you Lord for your traveling safety. My 78th birthday is one I will cherish forever!
I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to my Facebook friends for your caring thoughts and birthday wishes. YOU have been the wind beneath my wings for the past 15 years, and you are LOVED! ❤️

Today, April 14, 2025, I received a thank you letter from the Madison, Alabama Police Chief for the stuffed Easter Rabbits I brought for the children of the City who are involved in bad situations and need comfort.
Although, I did the service from my heart because I cared, the letter was nice and appreciated.

Today, Thursday April 10, 2025, was a community service day for me as MS ALABAMA SENIOR WORLD, 2025, and I throughly enjoyed every minute of it. I find days like this to bring me much joy and happiness. I called it my Easter Rabbit Trails Project.
It actually started yesterday morning, when I put on my hunting clothes, went through 5 Dollar General rabbit patches and bought 90+ fuzzy, darling, Easter rabbits and baskets (of all sizes) to donate to three worthy causes in the Madison, Alabama community:
The Monrovia Volunteer Fire Dept., the Madison County Police Dept., and the Valley View Nursing & Rehabilitation, LLC. (All with the purpose of comforting hurting children and adults, and especially at Easter.)
Kenny, my right hand camera man, tagged along to help, and oh what a help he was!...lol
We loaded the trunk and back seat of the car this morning and then set out to give those little critters a home.
My first stop was at the Monrovia Volunteer Fire Dept. where I met Alex and Hannah. They were so excited and appreciative to get their baskets of bunnies and make some pictures!
My second stop was at the Madison County Police Dept., also leaving baskets of adorable bunnies to comfort children involved in tragedies. Officers Turner and Grant welcomed me with open arms, thank yous, and photos.
My third stop was at the Valley View Nursing & Rehabilitation, LLC, where I met Brenda, the Receptionist, and got some pics with her. She couldn't find the Activities Dir. so she led us down the hall to the nurses station to meet, Leanne, the Unit Manager. I started giving out rabbits to some of the patients who gathered round, and oh those beautiful smiles! Amanda had one leg and was in a wheelchair, and it was Margaret's birthday. The couldn't believe they could have those big rabbits! 😊😊😊😊😊
We had lunch at Chick-fil-A and a lot of people were happy to see MS ALABAMA WORLD 2025 and strike up conversations with me. The Catering Manager wanted a Pic, and the nuggets are always delicious!
I then shopped at Dollar Tree and Ross to finish my Easter shopping, while Kenny rested in the car. People stopped me in both stores to strike up friendly conversations, and they loved my SASH!!! ❤️
What an exciting and fulling day of giving and representing Ms Alabama Senior World!!! I loved it! ❤️
