Do you know when to use your purple shampoo? Or how? 💜

Who needs purple shampoo? Purple shampoo is a great tool to have in your at-home arsenal IF you are not seeing your stylist regularly to receive a glossing service. Glosses have nutrients combined with color that create shine and add back antioxidants that are lost in a lightening session. Purple shampoo is great for neutralizing warmth, but lack the nutrients. Purple shampoo is drying to the hair, so make sure to use a good quality conditioner after to seal the cuticle and protect the hair.

When should I use my purple shampoo? When your gloss is no longer vibrant and controlling warmth (usually between 3-6 weeks after a glossing service, depending on your shampoo schedule). Do not use it too early because you can be washing your toner down the drain.

How to use purple shampoo: Shampoo with your stylist recommended shampoo and then use your purple shampoo. Don’t forget a good quality conditioner after! I recommend using your purple shampoo every 4-6 washes (remember, not until your gloss has faded). If you don’t feel that your purple shampoo is eliminating enough warmth, leave your purple shampoo on for a couple minutes longer. Don’t use purple shampoo too often, as it can create a dullness compared to bright neutral tone.

Which Purple shampoo do I recommend? The Bain Ultra-Violet Purple Shampoo is my FAVORITE! Not only does it work amazingly, it has hyaluronic acid and Edelweiss Flower. Both great to protect from future damage and environmental damage. 🏆

I’ve been following for a while and I knew that’s where I wanted to go. is the cutest! She helped us pick out plants for new plant parents, pet safe, walked us through at home care and showed us how to replant our Succulent - Ghost Echeveria. The Calathea Lancifolia ‘Rattlesnake’ is SO CUTE! I cannot wait to take care of these babies and go back for more! Cannot recommend enough! ✨ If you’re in downtown summerlin, go check them out! ♥️ They also stayed open for a couple minutes for us, because they were closing early and we were only in downtown summerlin for them, you literally can’t get better service! And SHE KNOWS HER S**T! I love watching passionate people live their dreams 💕

Let’s talk about ‘s wild hair ride! Last year we did a beautiful melted blonde ✨ and then... the pandemic hit. So while she was off work, she did some FUN colors! 😍 Then... she got called back to work and told she had to change it IMMEDIATELY 😭 so her boyfriend applied her lightener and set me up beautifully 👌🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 (she’s a cosmetologist, do not normally recommend 😂). That was good enough until she was ready for some melty, rooted, bright, blended blonde 🤤 We topped it off with the best treatment ever! by 👯‍♀️

Drop your favorite advice for quarantine 👇🏻

Mine would be:
1. Wear clothes you don’t get to wear to work or clothes you love but won’t wear because of body insecurities. You know what you look like naked and it’s only you at home👌🏻
2. Do what feels good for you! Not anyone else!
3. Put on some music and dance it out! 💃🏼
4. If you love doing your hair and makeup, still do it! It feels great and ‘normal’.
5. It’s okay to feel sad and guilty.
6. There are no rules. Drink if you want, eat dinner for breakfast. Workout if you want. Organize if you want. Don’t do anything if you don’t want to.
7. Only tune into the news when your mental health can handle it.

NONE of this is normal. NONE of us have answers. And none of us know what we’re doing. We’re all just winging it. AND THAT IS OKAY ♥️
