As a self-employed hair & wig colorist and becoming a working mom of 2, this year has truly been one of growth and valuable lessons. Wigs are a whole different ball game when it comes to lightening — they don’t always lift like natural hair. Some strands lighten fast, others take their sweet time, and a few just refuse to budge. 😩

That’s where patience, precision, and a whole lot of TLC come in 💆‍♀️💖

It was such a pleasure doing this beauty’s hair, an amazing soul with a beautiful voice ❤️

She felt she needed some life in her hair so I did a darker color on the roots and brought it down on some strands of hair. She didn’t want to feel too dark so I made sure not to cover every single strand.

My favorite part was adding a super subtle pop in the front that gave her such a glow and framed her face beautifully 😍
