To get some healthy looking skin and not having to worry about popping a zit wrong, try eating healthier. REMEMBER: you are what you eat. Here are some foods to consume that are great for your skin

1. Low-fat dairy....WHY?
It has Vitamin A, our skin cells are dependent on Vitamin A

2. Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and plums...WHY? These fruits are high in antioxidants, the benefits of these fruits for our skin are plentiful

3. Salmon, walnuts, canola oil, and flax seed....WHY?
They have essential fatty acids which are responsible for healthy cell membranes, they not only act as barriers to harmful things but also as the passageway for nutrients to cross in and out and for waste products to get in and out of the cell.

4. Green Tea.....Why?
This beverage deserves a category all its own in any article about foods for healthy skin. The skin-health properties in this beneficial drink just can't be beat. It has anti-inflammatory properties, and it's protective to the cell membrane. It may even help prevent or reduce the risk of skin cancer.

5. Whole-wheat bread, muffins, and cereals; turkey, tuna and brazil nuts...WHY?
The mineral selenium connects all these foods for healthy skin.
Definition of SELENIUM: a toxic nonmetallic element related to sulfur and tellurium.

Some studies show that even skin damaged by the sun may suffer fewer consequences if selenium levels are high.
oral doses of selenium, along with copper, vitamin E and vitamin A could prevent sunburn cell formation in human skin. Also, filling up on whole-grain products leaves less room for the "white" foods that are a worse choice for skin health. These include white-flour items (bread, cake and pasta), sugar, and white rice. All can affect insulin levels and cause inflammation that may ultimately be linked to skin break outs.

Don't squeeze, pop, or pick at pimples. Squeezing a pimple can force debris deeper into the follicle, spread infection, and worsen a blemish. When you pick at the skin, it can cause acute inflammation and seriously damage the skin's tissue. Remind yourself that "popping" that pimple can extend the healing time and may cause a permanent scar. Allow the blemish to heal on its own.

Natural Ways to Stop Excessive Hair Loss

PositiveMed

If you have long hair, you know you shed a lot, even with short hair, there are hairs on your sweaters, on your pillows, in your drain. Normal hair shedding is 50-100 each day. Shedding more hair than this is excessive, this can be caused by diet, stress, high androgen birth control pills, post pregnancy, menopause, thyroid disorders, and autoimmune diseases; the most common cause, however, is bacteria and fungus.

That sounds pretty gruesome, and there are ways to combat this. For starters, loosen up! Lack of air to the scalp provides a damp environment, which makes a breeding ground for bacteria, things like weaves, extensions, tight buns, ponytails, hats, and head wraps are the most common culprits, also, lack of oxygen to the scalp weakens the hair follicles.

Garlic can improve your scalp health and strengthen your hair. To use it blend with your conditioner into a paste, apply to scalp, cover with plastic, leave on for one hour and shampoo as usual. You can also take an oral garlic supplement, it will take about a month to show a difference.

Coconut oil is high in lauric acid, which counteracts the microbial action from dust, it will also tame frizz, apply to scalp, leave sit for 20-30 minutes, shampoo as usual. To tame flyaways you can rub a little between your palms and smooth through hair as you would a serum.

Tea tree oil is also a natural anti-bacterial agent which naturally unclogs hair follicles, as well as smoothing away the frizzies naturally. Grapefruit will naturally strip your hair of chemical build-up, can lighten your hair a little, and leaves your hair smelling wonderful.

BREATHE RESENTMENT AWAY

Of all the negative emotions, resentment dims our Light the most.

Can you be spiritual and angry at the same time?
Let me ask you this in another way...
Do you feel open and free while your angry?
One more question...
Does being angry at someone drain their energy, or yours?

I've heard many versions of this saying:
STAYING RESENTFUL AT SOMEONE IS LIKE DRINKING POISON AND EXPECTING THEM TO SUFFER.

Resentment brings unwarranted anger toward those who have something we want, and self-pity for ourselves. It drains us of the energy we need to change our lives and work toward goals. Resentment keeps us in a rigid judgment others.

Above all, resentment is ugly to see and even uglier to feel. When I'm resentful, I feel hatred toward others and if I'm honest... with myself.

When you find yourself resenting someone or something, be mindful, let yourself be free of it, and take a DEEEEEEP breathe and "b-r-e-a-t-h-e" it away...
