I’m originally from Dallas, but Houston has been my home for almost 11 years now.

I began my journey as a lash artist in 2014. I call it a journey because it is something like a never ending hike. Always something new to learn, things to see and ppl to meet along to way.

Connecting with people is my passion.

It’s okay to stumble or look silly for trying something new.

Social Media is fake. Stop giving yourself FOMO. You are enough, you do enough.

No one’s out here smiling all the time. Life is hard, fun, exciting and scary all at the same time, you never know what someone is going through, so be nice to ppl anyway.

An Educational but, scary post.
I know everyone starts somewhere. So I’m not going to go down the, “bash the other lash artist route.” Which is hella tacky and not my vibe.

Instead, we’re going to talk about why or how this happened.

See the large clumps of lashes stuck together? This is from not properly isolating the natural lash and allowing the extension with adhesive to not cure before moving on to the next lash.

This can also cause several natural lashes to attach themselves to each other resulting in damage.

Take a look at the extensions themselves. The base of the extensions are square, which can also make for an uncomfortable experience for the client afterwards. To avoid this, the lash artist creates a tight “v” like base to help with wrapping the extension.

If you look at the tip of the extensions, you can see there is heat damage. This can be avoided by talking through aftercare do’s and don’ts with the client.

There’s a lot to learn here. Make sure you are vetting your artists.

It’s totally okay to ask for a license or ask to see certifications.
