A question I get asked a lot from my clients is, “how often should hear protection be applied?” 🔥
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Generally, heat protection should be applied anytime heat is being used, & reapplied every time heat is being used unless it’s within a four hour period of initial application.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The best & easiest time to fully saturate the hair with heat protection is when it’s wet - it tends to distribute a lot more evenly on the hair. However, on those in between days that you don’t wash, I highly encourage using an aerosol heat protection as it is usually lighter on the hair & doesn’t weigh the hair down.
