Have never seen anyone post this, so please be kind because going to the bathroom when your limbs are sliced in half is already stressful about is.

For number 2, hovering over toilet seat riser with handles definitely worked best for me after thigh lift. After MMO, I could easily sit on the toilet but needed help getting up. I think toilet seat riser would work well in both scenarios however.

As for number 1, I’m not as confident in the material because my methods are hit or miss. Let me know in comments if you want to see part 2 on šŸ’¦

Counting my blessings! Looking back at NYE of the past 5 years and the change that has happened outside but more importantly inside. 2021 was the year I hit my highest weight and began to wonder how I could change my life, in 2022 I I booked ESG, 2023 I had ESG, 2024 I maintained and research plastics, 2025 my physical transformation took a much radical turn with 2 plastic surgeries 7 months apart.

Although I’m still in recovery from thigh lift that will last through at least first month of the new year, 2026 is already looking exciting and I can’t wait to see what it brings!

Happy New Year and here is to all new us - free, full of joy and the life we are excited to be living! 🄳

Love,
KC

Surgeries are so expensive but often I get questions about whether or how much of it was covered by insurance and the answer is… nothing was covered by insurance and the entire journey was self-paid.

I considered going that route but genuinely wish there were more options for weight loss patients to rid of the excess skin but unfortunately it’s just not possible unless you can prove true life damaging conditions. I probably could have gotten thigh lift approved with all the rashes and UTIs I had but it would have meant less options and often not the surgeons that specialize in thigh lift plus would have taking me even longer to go thru the entire process.

Can’t blame it on the insurance alone because the doctors often don’t work with insurance and neither of those I chose did. This means as a patient your options are:

- go thru insurance to get financial support but have very little options (especially depending on whether you live) and someone who may not be skilled enough in that area

- go thru insurance to have some of it covered - for example often insurance would cover panniculectomy but not muscle repair that’s part of tummy tuck so if you want to look ā€œsnatchedā€ that’s an additional cost on top of insurance coverage.

- go self-paid and pick your own doctor but be prepared to save which for some people may be not an option at all. Traveling to MX may definitely safe lots of money but the after care is challenging.

Curious if you are reading this and had plastic surgery, how did you pay for it and why you chose that route? Answer in poll and share more in comments:

PS apologies for a dirty mirror. Sink is super low and I’m a tall human splashing everything everywhere.

The beginning of an era!

First shot of tirzepatide aka Zepbound. Anxiously excited.

Why am I doing this?
I want to be healthy, as simple as that. My cholesterol levels are elevated, my inflammation level is 10x the norm, my PCOS symptoms are killing me, I don’t feel good physically, food noise is crazy! All of these are allegedly about to get under control. šŸ¤žšŸ»

How am I doing it?
I ran all my labs and discussed it with my OBGYN following concerns over PCOS symptoms that have gotten worse since about a year ago. She recommended we try smaller dose of tirzapetide vs the traditional titration route. I then found a company that works with 503b certified compounding pharmacy. I’m not sharing the name because I want to be honest and transparent in the experience but will happily share if I’m okay and safe. I did pay for my medication like I paid for my surgeries and for everything else in life so this is just to keep it journey focused at least for now.

How long will I be doing this for?
I don’t know, I just took my first shot, girl. I hope side effects are tolerable and it actually works and it makes difference in my life. Obesity is a life long disease, PCOS is an neuroendocrine disorder that’s here to stay for life too, both require maintenance and have direct impact on my wellbeing. So the answer is however long I can handle and can afford it.

That’s it for today! Typing this 30 minutes after the shot so wish me luck - I’ll report back in stories tomorrow with updates on the first night in 😘

If you are in the journey, please leave your tips and tricks in comments.

Daily dose of tired but surviving.

I really enjoyed all the pastries from the last weekend and you guys I had enough. My eyes were MUCH bigger than my stomach. Upon return from San Antonio I set a god to hit my calories mindfully and focus on hitting protein (again) and a few observations I’ve made:

- desserts do take a huge part of the daily nutrition balance sheet and aren’t always worth it
- eyes bigger than stomach. I split pastries in 4 pieces to try them but honestly just got tired of them. Like yeah I’d have a piece but buying so many was a mistake and it got old soon.
- my stomach size has increased and 1 cup measure was there for sure once we returned home. I am excited to try more and feel ā€œnormalā€ but also understand that I still want progress and need to be mindful. Portions portions here I come!

How do you manage traveling and WLS journey?

Why am I sharing my ESG journey on IG?

This week I was asked what made me want to start my ESG related account. A few reasons:

- lack of ESG awareness out there - I feel like the world has to know that non-surgical options like ESG are available and are an option. So I made it my mission to educate and share about ESG
- my own accountability - I’ve been on this journey for 313 days now and have shared every single day with you all. Some days, I don’t feel like showing up, but I still do because I want to be there for you too.
- supporting the community and feeling a part of it - so many of you have reached out with questions or just sharing your journey, challenges, wins and it melts my heart and yes sometimes even tears of joy appear. Please keep reaching out and keep sharing and I will too!
