Here are 3 core ways we teach our students at WoahLash to build consistent fans:

✨ On & Off Tape Technique
This method gives you the most control, especially if you’re a beginner. By working directly off the strip and using the tape as your base, you can slowly build and adjust your fan before picking it up. It’s perfect for understanding spacing, symmetry, and how your lashes naturally want to open.

✨ Pick Up & Tap
This technique is all about speed and rhythm. You pick up your lashes and lightly tap to spread them into a fan. It takes practice, but once it clicks, it helps you work faster while still creating soft, fluffy fans. Great for artists looking to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality.

✨ Pinching Technique
This is where artistry meets precision. By pinching the base of the lashes, you’re able to control how tight or wide your fan is. This technique creates a more defined, snatched base and is ideal for advanced sets where retention and structure matter most.

The truth is — there’s no “one right way.”
Every artist’s hands are different, and what works for someone else might not work for you (yet).
