Whelp, if you heard what Abbott said, basically we’re dead in the water til mid May. So here’s how I’m handling this as of now.

If you have an appointment booked before May 19, I’m canceling it for you. Sorry. My books are open as of now on May 19 and beyond. Please let me know if you need help rebooking your appointment. I’m extremely grateful for my booking system and I’m very sorry I am not personally reaching out to everyone to rebook but that can be very confusing with phone tag and my personal user error and y’all know the drill. But absolutely, If you prefer I book your appointment or you’re having trouble finding a spot please do reach out to me and I am happy to book you.

In the event we are allowed to reopen before the 19th I will restore cancelled appointments first. If we don’t reopen by the 19...ugh I don’t want to think about that right now

Taking precautions and limiting exposure

Hello All!

I freaked out a bit this week and stayed home, but this is not sustainable for me and for many of you. So as long as we’re not shut down by the county or state I’m coming back next week with some precautions:

I’m taking just one client at a time, you will be the only person in my room, therefore I will be able to do most all of my own shampoos, limiting your exposure.

Please make your first stop the restroom or our kitchen sink and wash your hands before coming into my room.

Disinfecting ALL surfaces and implements between clients. I’ve done this haphazardly for years but I’ve never been a germaphobe til now.

Making sure the front and back doors to the salon remain propped open so you can save at least from touching something that many others have touched before you and keep the flow of fresh air which kills germs!

I also recommend parking in the rear of the building and coming in through the back door to save walking through the salon.

It is impossible to keep the recommended 3 foot distance but the good thing is I mostly work from behind you so we’re not breathing each other’s breath.

If you don’t feel well please don’t come. I know it’s allergy season but people are very uncomfortable if you cough or sneeze, so please respect that.

I had been helping with my mom who just had major surgery last Wednesday (the day they shut down the rodeo and the
$? #% hit the fan) and I have been extremely diligent about limiting exposure and trust you have done the same. My sister has it under control at Mom’s house (surgery was successful and she is recuperating nicely) so I am ready to come back.

As always you can book online but if you need assistance don’t hesitate to contact me, text is best, then voicemail.

In case we are closed down I am not ruling out house calls, as long as there is not a shelter in place/Marshall law order.

I know all this may sound scary or crazy but think of this:
Our grandparents were called to War! We are called to sit on our couches! We can do this!
