Sometimes you have to reflect & give yourself your flowers 💐 & YOUR OWN hand clap 👏🏾😝

I opened a shop, moved to another state, & started my life completely over. I rebuilt my business from the ground up, with no support system, no safety net, & no guarantee that any of it would work. Just me, my faith, & the courage to bet on myself.

The truth is, I’ve always had to figure things out on my own. I’ve never really had the support system people talk about, so I learned to make a way for myself, even when I had no idea how things would work out.

Starting over in Texas was humbling. There were months when money wasn’t coming in, moments of uncertainty, & days when I had to find the strength to keep showing up. And even now, I still experience loneliness. Even with an amazing husband & beautiful children, there are some things you have to work through within yourself. I’m still adjusting, still learning myself, and accepting that sometimes what’s best for you won’t always feel good. Sometimes growth means getting comfortable being uncomfortable.

One thing about my journey, I’ve never had to use anybody, hustle anybody, or get over on anyone to get where I’m going. I’ve stayed true to who I am, worked for what I have, & trusted God to make a way.

Now I’m in a season of choosing ME. Learning myself all over again, protecting my peace, loving myself differently, & being intentional about the woman I’m becoming. I’m learning to embrace my own company & understand that being alone doesn’t mean I’m losing.

Just because people aren’t there to help me doesn’t mean I won’t win. My future has never depended on who stood beside me. I’ve always had to find my own way, but I’ve never been without God.

In this season, it’s ME AND GOD. Every time life has emptied me, He’s replenished me. Every time I thought I had reached my limit, He gave me the strength to keep going.

I’m proud of the woman who kept showing up when nobody knew how hard it was & still is!

People can count themselves out of my journey, but that doesn’t mean I lose. When God is my source, I can lose a lot & still never be empty. 🤍🙏🏽
