☝🏼THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON

First, I realized it’s absolutely impossible to clean and sanitize it properly☹️
BB is porous and its job is to soak up. So, all kinds of microbes get absorbed and hide inside the sponge 🥴🤭

Add the fact that it needs to be wet when applying products. It means we create a moist environment that is great for bacteria growth.

👀 Some people will probably say they are able to clean the sponge out. Well, even washing BB with antibacterial soap is still not enough!!!

Since using BB on several people is not sanitary I think it’s best to never risk it!
Especially now I take extra precautions when it comes to clients.💖

🍔 HEAVY EATER

Another reason for us to break up was that it eats too much... product. 🤭 This is a total waste of foundation considering that I use quite an expensive one.

🧸 BB FOR PERSONAL USE

You can keep BB as your personal makeup tool but you still need to clean it after each use. 🛁 And don’t forget it to throw it away after 3 months!!👋🏼

Otherwise you run the risk of spreading bacteria all over your face (which can lead to acne breakouts). Additionally, it can cause your foundation to cake.

🙏🏼 A SECOND CHANCE

You can still see me using a BB sometimes. But when I’m using it on a client you should know – it’s absolutely new. And I’ll give it to my client after the application. Yes, I’ll give a $20 sponge for free, because my client’s health is more important than saving $20.

Smokey eye makeup can still look soft and romantic without it looking too heavy or bold ✨✨✨

A few years ago, I was a guest at the wedding. I was there in front of the venue fully dressed waiting for the bride to show up. A stretch white limo has arrived... Door opened... Pretty legs in satin white pumps stepped out of the car. A gorgeous white dress appeared like a cloud...

It was definitely a fairytale moment! 💘Everything seemed just perfect!✨

Then I raised my eyes and looked at her face…

In a split second the carriage turned into a pumpkin… There was no makeup on her face! 😳 No mascara, no lipstick – absolutely nothing, but… She covered her face with a thick layer of foundation (that was too cakey) to hide blemishes... That was it! So, what did it look like? Like a flat surface!

Flash photography light made everything even worse. 😟 The bride’s face was absolutely invisible in the pictures. Especially compared to bridesmaids, who were wearing makeup.
Also, her skin became oily too quickly because of the improper techniques and the wrong product choice.

She was not a good friend of mine so I didn’t have a chance to tell her about the importance of the wedding makeup before her big day. I didn’t even know why she chose not to have professional makeup services.

I know weddings are expensive! Trying to save money and cut wedding costs is completely understandable. But what is the reason to make cuts on beauty services? Compared to thousands on your venue, flowers, photographer, attire… makeup is the smallest of costs. Even your expensive shoes are going to be hidden under your dress most of the time. So, saving a few hundred dollars on your FACE seems irrational, doesn’t it?

We are talking about your face on the most important day of your life. Even if you don’t wear makeup every day, or think it doesn't matter, trust me, it does matter on your wedding day! 👰🏼
