Here is why we need you to step away from the shower & loofah right before:

The Strawberry Fields Effect: A hot shower opens up your pores. If we spray you right after, that gorgeous bronzer settles into those open pores, leaving you with little brown dots. Not the vibe.

The Post-Workout Double Whammy: Crushing a gym session and then rushing through a hot shower means your body is still cooling down. You will keep sweating, leading to streak city and sweat marks.

The Golden Rule for a Flawless Glow:
☀️ Morning Appt? Shower the night before.
🌙 Afternoon/Evening Appt? Shower in the morning.

Tan Tip Tuesday: Don’t Wash Your Tan Down the Drain! 🧼✨

Did you know your favorite body wash might be the reason your tan is fading faster than your weekend plans? 😱

When you have a fresh spray tan, the goal is to keep your skin hydrated without stripping the color. Most “standard” shower gels are packed with harsh detergents and oils that act like a slow-motion eraser for your glow. 

🚫 What to Avoid (The Tan Killers):
• Mineral Oil & Petrolatum: These sit on top of the skin and break down the tan’s DHA. 
• Sulfates (SLS): These create that big lather but are way too harsh for sunless color. 
• Harsh Fragrances & Alcohols: These dry out your skin, leading to a patchy, “cracked” fade. 
• Exfoliating Beads/Acids: Anything with “scrub,” Salicylic Acid, or AHAs will take your tan right off. 

✅ The “Safe List” (Spray Tan Approved)
If you aren’t using our Signature Shower Gel (which is specifically formulated to be pH-balanced and ultra-gentle for just a few dollars more!), here are a few over-the-counter options you can find at the drugstore:
1. Native Body Wash: Simple ingredients, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. (The Coconut & Vanilla is a fan favorite!) 
2. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash: Look for the one with “Soothing Oat”—it’s very gentle and paraben-free. 
3. Raw Sugar Living: These are great, plant-based options that you can find at most major retailers.
4. Cetaphil Ultra Gentle Body Wash: Specifically the Fragrance-Free version. It’s dermatologist-tested and won’t strip your skin. 

💡 Pro Tip:
When you’re in the shower, use your hands or a very soft cloth. Ditch the loofah or mitt until you’re ready to scrub the tan off for your next appointment! 🚿
