I love my “I’m only wearing makeup because I have to” ladies, lol! They are me and I am them. 😂😂😂

I make it a point to keep the approach VERY natural and VERY clean during our first few sessions. This not only creates an environment of comfort, but trust. Trust that I am listening, that I care about their opinion of their final look, and that I am adaptable rather than “one size fits all”.

But once that trust is built, we are gonna push the envelope when the time comes! 🤭😈

I am slowly falling back in love with weddings.

I definitely went through a “take as few weddings as possible” phase. It was mostly me, in my head as usual, but also a bit of burnout. Burnout in life, career, mental exhaustion… I tend to compartmentalize what bothers me. Ignore it, honestly. But it shows up. It can’t NOT show up.

However, there is an energy I’m rediscovering. A return to “me” I’m slowly feeling. And with that, comes a return to other passions. Once upon a time, I wanted nothing BUT bridal parties on the weekend. And while I may not ever jump that far into the deep end, I’m certainly back in the water.

is one of the prettiest women I know and she was a STUNNING bride.

A little year in review, shall we?

February. Got a call to work with Mr. Earthquake himself which turned into a year of blessings and BUSYness.

The crazy part is I was literally working on a body (y’all know I do makeup on the living AND the non-living) and didn’t have ANY living folks makeup on me. I hauled my ass up 288 so fast! We already had a small window to work with and I didn’t want to be the cause of any delays.

Grateful is an understatement.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Letting my heart lead me to ask/tell God, “Anyway you bless me, I’ll be satisfied,” changed me inside and out.

Add it to your prayers, mean it, and get to work. He’ll take care of the rest.
