when did you stop treating yourself the way you would her?

The last couple of weeks I’ve been looking at this little sweet girl and holding her in the brightest white light, braiding her hair, telling her how beautiful and capable she is. Not sure if this is some “approved” inner child work but it’s really helping me.

I think of the conversations I have with my children and how much I love them and believe in them and wonder when that same belief faded in myself. When I started treating myself as less than.

And yes, I know. Deep down I know I’m capable of anything I set my heart and mind to. But there’s also life lived and experiences had that kind of jumble it up sometimes, you know?

But I also know and feel that as I lift her up I feel myself lift up as well
