In Traditional Chinese cupping, we look at the color and intensity of the marks and discuss what different areas may indicate from a TCM perspective. Darker areas are traditionally associated with greater stagnation in that area—which is why you’ll sometimes see one part of the back turn much darker than another.
Cupping uses suction to increase blood flow to the area and is commonly used for:
✨ Muscle tension & tightness
✨ Soreness and recovery
✨ Increased local circulation
✨ Relaxation
✨ Improving mobility
And yes…we go over what your different cupping marks may mean during your session. 👀💜
