While we are hard at work to bring you the next steps in the SRK journey we will remain closed this week for some deep work that is necessary. A blast from this past since this little guy is in college now, but in case you haven’t heard we are still here spoiling and rockin all the little rockstars in North Alabama. BIG announcement coming soon, but for now our hours are the same!

A few weeks ago, I shared one of the hardest announcements of my life, the closing of my beloved Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz after nearly 18 beautiful years serving this community.

What I did not expect was the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, prayers, stories, and encouragement that followed. I have cried more tears than I can count reading your messages, hearing your memories, and being reminded just how deeply this little salon has been woven into the hearts of so many families throughout North Alabama.

And today I wanted to share a small, but hopeful update.

Because of the incredible response and a few unexpected opportunities that have unfolded behind the scenes, Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz will REMAIN OPEN through June at the very least while I carefully explore what the next chapter may look like.

While I am not quite ready to share all of the details yet, I can say this: my heart feels lighter than it did a few weeks ago. What once felt like an ending is beginning to feel more like a transition and for the first time in a long time, I am allowing myself to feel hopeful about what could be ahead for the community and SRK.

For now, we will continue operating as normal, booking appointments, celebrating birthdays, creating magical memories, and loving on your babies exactly the way we always have.

Thank you for standing beside me during such an emotional season. Your love for Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz has meant more than I could ever properly put into words.

Sometimes God writes a different story than the one we thought we were preparing ourselves for and maybe, just maybe, this story is not finished yet. 🤍

Dear North Alabama Community,

I have sat with this message for a long time, trying to find the right words and truthfully, there just aren’t enough to fully hold what my heart feels. For nearly 18 years, Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz has been one of the greatest honors of my life. What started as a dream at the mere age of 24 with more passion than direction grew into something so much bigger than I could have ever imagined and that is because of you.

There are no perfect words for a moment like this, but I will try my very best to speak from the heart that you have all helped shape over the last (almost) 18 years.

Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz has been so much more than a salon. It has been a lifeline, a place of healing, a space filled with laughter, glitter, tears, milestones, and memories that I will carry with me forever. This little dream held me together in seasons when I wasn’t sure how I would stand on my own. It gave me purpose after the loss of my infant daughter, it allowed me to provide for my girls as I became an unexpected single mama, and it grew me into the woman, business owner, and community advocate I am today.

From the bottom of my soul, “THANK YOU!”

Because of you, we have celebrated tens of thousands of first haircuts. We have created a safe, loving space for children of all abilities to receive non judgmental haircuts. We have hosted thousands of princess dreams and rock star moments, sponsored St Jude’s Make-A-Wish days, and various community events that reached far beyond our four walls. We have loved big, laughed loud, and poured everything we had into every single child who sat in our chairs. And what a beautiful journey it has been.

But as life so often reminds us, even the most meaningful seasons sometimes come to a close. With a very heavy and grateful heart, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Spoiled Rockin’ Kidz Salon & Spa at the end of May.

This decision does not come from a lack of support, quite the opposite. Our community has been nothing short of extraordinary. This choice comes from a place of deep reflection, prayer, and knowing in my spirit that it is time for me to step into the next chapter.

Today, I cleared my calendar to allow myself a full day of doing the simple things that marked the beginning of this journey, quiet moments in the salon, reflecting, praying, remembering where it all started. So many of my earliest dreams were scribbled on napkins just a few doors down from our original location at I Love Sushi. As I sit trying to enjoy the same meal I always ordered in our early days I am humbled, overwhelmed, and incredibly emotional all at once.

Thank you will never feel like enough. Not for the trust, the loyalty, the love, or the way you allowed SRK to be part of your families’ stories.

Please know that all previously scheduled appointments, parties, and events will be honored with the same level of care and magic you have always experienced until our last hour.

And as I close this chapter, I remain open to the possibility that someone who shares the same heart and values may step in and continue this legacy within our community. I will drop my email in the comments if you know anyone interested in grabbing my torch.

We’re looking for a rockstar to join our front desk crew — perfect for a college student!

✨ Hours:
Wednesday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 7:15 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 5:15 PM

You’ll be the first smile families see when they walk in, helping check in kiddos, answering phones, and keeping the fun (and the chaos 😜) running smoothly.

Must love kids, be organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. If you can handle glitter, giggles, and a little bit of wild — you’ll fit right in.
