REMINDER: Northern portion of Montgomery Avenue is closed

Inverness, FL -- Montgomery Avenue is now closed around-the-clock to all traffic from north of Sterling Road to the US 41 intersection. The closure began late this morning (Monday, December 2, 2024) and is expected to continue to Friday, December 6, 2024, weather permitting. Sterling Road access to Montgomery Avenue will remain open to traffic.

DETOUR route: Access to Montgomery Avenue will remain open at the SR 44 (W Main Street) intersection and from Sterling Road. Southbound US 41 traffic wishing to access Montgomery Avenue can turn right onto Sterling Road and go west to Montgomery Avenue, then turn left to go south. Drivers can also continue south, turn right onto SR 44, then turn right onto northbound Montgomery Avenue. Drivers are advised to follow detour signs and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
