Professional color can only do so much if you’re constantly using high heat, skipping trims, using drug store products or neglecting your hair’s needs.

Ways to ensure optimal hair health:

1.) Get a haircut. It doesn’t have to be several inches every time. Chewed ends are not worth it and as much magic as I can do, clean ends only happen with a trim.

2.) Skip going to bed with wet hair. Hair is at its weakest point when it’s wet. Blowdry your hair before bed. Your hair, skin and pillow will thank you for it.

3.) Be gentle and intentional with your hair. Slow, gentle brushing, circular motions on your scalp when double shampooing, use heat protectant every time and use a soft hair tie when putting hair up.

4.) Don’t skip Olaplex when getting your hair colored or lightened. This is NOT a step you can do at home. The integrity of your hair is one of the most crucial factors in having healthy hair.

5.) Shampoo twice a week and follow with a conditioner from mids to ends. Never put conditioner on your scalp.

Our salon takeover for the next few weeks is Pureology
I personally enjoy our salon takeover’s because we are able to use products on our clients that we wouldn’t normally use. We get educated on each product and who it’s best used for.

This is one of my favorite brands that I can rely on giving a solid performance every time with every client, including myself.

We are currently using Hydrate Sheer Shampoo and Hydrate Sheer Conditioner. However, I’m going to go over the Smooth Gloss line.

In just one use, the shampoo gives 50% glossier shine, 8x smoother hair and up to 72 frizz free performance.

Remember to shampoo twice, then follow with the Smooth Gloss Treatment Mask. Leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse. It detangles, adds insurmountable shine and fights frizz for up to 72 hours.

The final step is the Smooth Gloss Silkmorphose Mist Spray. I use this after I towel dry the hair. It aids in detangling, adding shine, reduces frizz and has heat protection up to 450°. But we don’t use heat that HIGHER than, now do we? 🤨
It doesn’t leave a sticky residue for luxurious silky hair.

I’m glad I went out of my comfort zone to try a “new to me” product line. I’ve always been a sheer hydrate gal but I’m definitely hooked on this!
