Chapter 2 🖤

These years hold so many memories.
The storefront buildout. Community events. Bama greeting guests at the door (and whining LOUDLY when she wanted more attention😆) My boys growing up inside the spa, doing their homework in the back.

But as I was putting this chapter together, what stood out most was the people.

The clients who trusted us.
The community that supported us.
And the team members who helped shape Skin Spa in those early years.

Some of the faces in these photos are still here today. Some aren’t. But every person pictured was part of the story, and every one of them left their mark on Skin Spa in their own way.

When I look back at these years, I don’t just see a growing business. I see relationships, lessons, laughter, challenges, celebrations, and a whole lot of life happening inside (and outside) these walls.

While looking back at these memories (tbh I had to dig pretttty deep into my Google photos to find them 😅) it really hit me, how incredibly grateful I am for this journey.

This version of myself makes me smile. She was raising two little boys, trying to build a business from nothing …all while trying to figure out who she is and who she’s becoming.

It was a time in my life that was wild and wonderful and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I poured every dollar of my savings into the launch of this business in 2013. I said yes to every opportunity I could find, some of you reading this probably met me offsite at a pop-up in a local boutique or some of you reading this have been with me from the start (2003 🤯).

I have loved every second of Skin Spa’s story.

I have loved creating, I have loved connecting, I have loved the feeling of building something and watching it slowly come to life. Looking back now, I think what stands out the most is how much heart existed in those early years.

Skin Spa has become something I never dreamed was possible.
