Growing up watching the World Cup was always as big for us as watching the Olympics. My dad being from Brazil fueled a passion for it as a kid, and the fact that Brazil won in 2002 felt like we were getting rewarded for our love to the team.
One thing that stood out to me as a kid more than anything else is the hairstyles that the players choose to have for the tournament. It’s so interesting how hair can work to bookmark chapters in your life, and for these players it’s no different.
While Norway was beating Brazil on Sunday all I could think about was how glad I was that we were getting our asses handed to us by someone with an instantly iconic look.
I put together some of my favorite ‘dos, with of course Ronaldo’s signature look in 2002 as my all time favorite.
A reminder that hair is fun, it’s temporary, it’s totally in your control.
