College friend: "...how did you integrate nails and Epidemiology?"

Nebula Nails LLC (Mercedes/"Nebula"): "Well, I was a State of Florida Environmental Epidemiologist when I started doing nails. As I developed my nails business concept, I identified major epidemiologic absences and gaps in the cosmetology industry. Essentially, I'm applying my epidemiology expertise to manufacture better industry products, better education, better access, better laws and regulations. And I'll be rich so there's that, too."

Had he not asked that question at that time, I would not have realized then that I really was STILL an Environmental Epidemiologist. I never abandoned that role. I SIMPLY NO LONGER HAD SUPERVISION TO VALIDATE MY CAREER 🫶🏾😌 I did not accept the politicized corporate infrastructure of federal/state government employment as an internally staffed scientist, so I was harassed and abused until I left. They did not realize that I simply had outgrown and exhausted the benefit of being an employee, otherwise I would have come back to work the next day, as I was instructed. I was too smart and too powerful to submit to inferior political leadership and administration.

Leaving my full-time job afforded me the availability to go to school 240 hours over 6 weeks to legitimize and advance my business and ideas through state licensure.

I was now experienced enough, confident enough, CREATIVE enough, and prepared enough to lead the world on my own, as an Epidemiologist, engineer, and artist 🫠
