Eastside residents, nonprofit help bring aging Jacksonville affordable apartment complexes back to life A major renovation project is happening at two troubled Eastside complexes and it could help about 100 families living in affordable housing in Jacksonville.

Superintendent at Concrete Renovations and President at Eastside Legacy Business Council, Avery McKnight, ramps up workforce development efforts with withintrification (developing a workforce from within the community being developed).

We want to set new hires up for success by giving them the proper training needed to compete for construction jobs. Training is costly so we will start taking in one trainee to undergo six months of training to get various certifications. We will update when we’re accepting applications. Video produced by Devin D.
