This episode focuses on foundational fading techniques — shoveling, raking, the difference between open and closed clipper work, and the importance of properly zero-gapped clippers. Small adjustments, intentional movements, and understanding why each step matters is what separates a rushed fade from a clean one.

From festive designs to a bold holiday beard, Mario showed what versatility, trust, and long-time client relationships look like — with a little Christmas spirit mixed in.

As the year comes to a close, we want to wish our clients and our barbers a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and being part of the Mario & Company family.
We hope these days are filled with time spent with family, rest, and meaningful moments.

Coastal Class — Episode 2

This episode dives into the details — the questions, the technique, and the small adjustments that make a big difference behind the chair.

The fade isn’t finished yet, and that’s on purpose. This session was about process over perfection, slowing things down, and breaking down the “why” behind each step through student questions.

There’s so much valuable insight from this class that once everything is complete, we’ll be sharing the full session on YouTube. For now, we’re keeping the process bite-sized and focused.

Coastal Class — Episode 1

This was the start of something meaningful.

From Mario opening the class and setting the tone, to our barbers taking time out of their day to come support, share insight, and answer questions from different real-world perspectives, this session was rooted in teamwork and mentorship.

We’re thankful to the Coastal Cosmetology Program for the opportunity to be in the room, connect with students, and contribute to an environment focused on learning and growth. The conversations, questions, and shared experiences made it a valuable day for everyone involved.

There was far too much good information and energy to fit into one video — so this is just Episode 1. More moments and takeaways from this class will be shared over the next few weeks.

Friday night reminded us why Mario & Company is more than a barbershop — it’s a family.
Looking back on the laughter, the food, and the friendly competition, it was the perfect reminder of how much heart sits behind the work we do every day.

To the families behind our barbers: thank you for supporting them, encouraging them, and sharing them with us — your support makes our success possible.
And to our clients: thank you for trusting us, showing up for us, and allowing us to serve this community year after year. You are a huge part of why we continue to grow.
