As I sit in a surgical waiting room today during her second brain surgery, waiting to find out whether what doctors are seeing is recurrent cancer or scar tissue from her first surgery, I’m reminded just how deeply personal this mission is to me.

She is the reason I feel called to create a space centered on comfort, dignity, and compassionate care.

At Opal Skin Studio, I welcome and care for all clients, but my heart has always been especially drawn to serving those affected by cancer. This work is personal for me, and it always will be.
