I love doing tease-lights and foilayage to add pops of dimension on my guest’s natural base color. As a new mama, @d.m.vergara loves how the lighter pieces brighten her complexion without being super high maintenance (typically 12-14 weeks between appointments). On-trend color with seamless grow out, that’s a win-win! 🥇

Meet my guest, Tish who I met one year ago when she was looking to spice up her Sisterlocks. At the time, I hadn’t worked with locks. To say I was intimidated is an understatement but I’m always up to learn something new. 💪🏽
After all, hair is hair!

🎨This was achieved with a bold lightening / base break session to brighten her natural color and add dimension.

⏰ Timing is everything: For best results, color your Sisterlocks at least one year after your initial install. I saw Tish on her one year anniversary!

💦 I insist all of my blondes follow with strength and moisture treatments in salon and at home to maintain the health of their hair. Locks are no exception!

Mask Up, Please 😷

As you know, my first priority is to keep my studio as safe as possible for us all. Because I work in very close proximity with clients of all vaccination statuses, I have decided to keep the mask requirement in place for now. I will no longer be doing temperature checks (unless you want one) and as always, if you are experiencing cold / flu-like symptoms, please reschedule your appointment. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT! Here’s what to expect before / during your next visit. I have been working hard, preparing for my reopening this week! 🥳 My plan is to go beyond what is recommended to provide you the safest service possible.
* I have been trained on sanitation best practices and will be following even stricter disinfecting guidelines, which include deep cleaning the studio each day and sanitizing between every appointment. High-touch areas will be wiped down after each client including tools, products, chairs and counters.
* Stylist stations are spaced more than 6-feet apart. Salon furniture has been moved to provide 6-feet of social distance.
* Magazines have been removed.
* As always, each client will be given a clean robe and a clean cutting cape.
* I will be wearing face coverings while inside the salon and gloves while servicing guests. I will practice hand hygiene and sanitation before and after each service. Clients will be asked to wash hands before receiving a service as well.
* I will check my temperature before work every morning with a touch-less digital thermometer.
* Health screenings will be administered
* Private appointments available for high-risk guests.
* Air hugs welcome! No-contact for the time being.
