Let's talk about it:
So you are going to the beach, you want to be care free, living your best life and not worry about your body hair the entire time you are there?
BELIEVE ME, I get it. As someone who hasn't used a razor in years, I can tell you first hand how nice it is to go to the beach and not have a care in the world about my body hair.
That being said, waxing, because of the way your body works, and the way your hair grows, is not a one and done method of hair removal.
Waxing, just like anything else, is a process.
Can you wax for the first time right before vacation? You absolutely CAN but I'd discourage it for many reasons:
1.) skin reactions: I want you to have the best time on vacation, but if you haven't waxed before we don't know how your skin will react to being waxed. Your skin could be sensitive, it could get irritated or itchy. I don't want to send you off to have the time of your life only to have it ruined by an allergic or adverse s reaction. They are rare but they do happen and it's better to be safe than sorry.
2.) If you have never waxed before, your hair will be in multiple growth stages at the same time. What does that mean for you? It means that the hair that we can see and is long enough to wax is not all of your hair. You have hair growing under your skin that I have zero control over. When you come see me I explain to you that the first regrowth you see is not the hair we waxed, it's the hair that is currently growing and developing under your skin. My end goal is to get all of your hair to grow and come out at the same time, but that takes a minimum of 3 waxes to get all three growth cycles. So there's a good chance that you will see growth while on vacation. Which means you just wasted your money and you'll still want to shave while on vacation.
So can you book right before vacation?
You absolutely can and often still will, but if you want to have smooth skin the whole time you're gone I'd encourage you to try your best to fit in 2-3 waxes before you go just to be on the safe side.

How many of you struggle with ingrown hair?
One of the biggest reasons that most of my clients start waxing is because they regularly get deep, painful ingrowns.
Is there a way to combat this? YES.
There’s many causes to ingrown hair, a large part of getting them is due to improper after care/skin care.
PROPER EXFOLIATION IS KEY.
Exfoliating is the act of using either a something sure a rough surface of or a chemical to remove Debra’s skin from the body.
Dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin can cause hairs to get trapped and have no where to go except sideways, causing ingrowns.
My goal is to not only pull every hair and leave you with hairless skin, but to also work towards clearing abs eliminating ingrowns from your life leaving you feeling more confident about your body.

Being a mom is hard enough, and I’m not going to turn you away because your sitter cancelled.

If they are big enough to sit by themselves, there’s chairs in the waiting area. If they are small, then we can work around them. One thing I understand WELL is having to bring babies with you wherever you go, and you deserve self care too. So yes, shoot me a text or a message and I’ll have their favorite show pulled up on my computer, we can ask Alexa to play their favorite music, and we can get it handled. 💕
