Casual car selfie today✨

I’ve been quietly working on something behind the scenes that I’m so excited to share with you. 🤍

Hello friends!

As many of you know, since January 2025 I’ve had an apprentice studying under me in the salon. Many of you have had the chance to meet Alyssa, whether she shampooed and blow dried your hair, assisted during your appointment, or provided a service herself.

As she gets closer to graduating and completing her apprenticeship this August, I’m so excited to watch her begin this next chapter! To help her start building her online presence, we’ve created her very own Google Business page.

If you’ve had the pleasure of working with Alyssa, I would be so grateful if you’d take a minute to click the link below and leave her a review. Your kind words and support truly make a difference for a new stylist starting her career, and they help future clients feel confident booking with her.

Thank you all for supporting not only my business, but also the next generation of stylists. It means more than you know! 💗

Alyssa Smith Cosmetologist "Alyssa Grace Beauty" would love your feedback Post a review to our profile on Google

Breaking up my feed with this gorgeous dimensional brunette 🧸
No root tap/melt/smudge was needed for blend with this color!

Just strategic foil placement and a whole lot of love!!! This ensures that the color continues looking great long after toners fade🤎
That is TRUE low maintenance or lived in color IMO

Sun-kissed, seamless, and ready for summer. ☀️

A fresh blonde makeover was the perfect birthday gift!!!

Nothing beats leaving the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and ready to celebrate another trip around the sun. 🤍

One last post about my stroke and vertebral artery dissection from March, I promise. 💛

Thank you to everyone who showed me so much kindness, patience, and understanding while I healed, rescheduled appointments, and figured out this new normal. The days were long, and I was exhausted, but I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.

I know things could have been much worse, and I don’t take that lightly. I’m incredibly thankful that I never lost my ability to do what I love.

To my clients, if I missed a message somewhere along the way, please reach out again. This experience reminded me that I’m human too.

Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to continue helping others feel beautiful. I truly have the best clients.

Here’s a beautiful extension blend for your feed. ✨

I love you all. 🤍

Apparently it’s National Hairstylist Appreciation Day 🤍

I truly love what I do. I get to create, connect, and pour into the people in my chair every day and that means more than I can put into words.

Holding even more gratitude for this career and the people who make it so special, especially in this season 🤍

Hi friends 🤍

Thank you so much for all the love and support while I’ve been taking things slow and easing back into work.

I definitely didn’t expect to have an artery dissection and stroke at 26, but these last 5 weeks have taught me so much.

If you’ve messaged me or submitted a form, I’m working through everything in order. If you think I missed you, please send a follow up. I appreciate your patience & understanding so much🤍

I am thankful to say that I am doing well. I can still create beautiful hair, just at a slower pace right now. I may get tired quicker, but that won’t last forever.

I’m so thankful to be able to still do what I love. This whole experience has given me a new perspective.

Thank you to my family, friends, clients, and this community. I feel so supported and sooo blessed.

I’m excited to be getting back to more normal posting soon. I have so much hair content to share ✨

Counting down the days until I can drive again and ditch the neck brace… but celebrating the small wins for now 🤍

I love you all🥹

That perfect bronde blend for summer ✨
Still healing, still growing, still showing up 🤍

Easing back into clients and keeping my schedule limited for now. I’ll be back fully soon ✨

So thankful for the patience and support 🫶

Hi friends 🤍

I wanted to share a more detailed update on what’s been going on and what this means for my schedule moving forward.

Last Thursday during the day, I began experiencing what felt like a severe migraine along with some vision changes/loss. I do have a history of frequent migraines, so at first it didn’t seem out of the ordinary. That night, I had a sudden intense pain when I moved my head to the right, my vision went completely dark for a few minutes, and I experienced significant dizziness and a spinning sensation.

I continued working through Friday, Saturday, and part of Monday with ongoing headache, neck pain, stiffness, dizziness, and a constant off-balance feeling.

On Monday, I contacted my doctor and was asked to come in to be assessed. Based on my symptoms, they immediately sent me to the ER. I honestly thought it was a joke, but I complied because I really didn’t feel good at all.

After evaluation & scans, it was determined that I experienced a small ischemic stroke in the right cerebellum, the part of the brain that controls balance and coordination. This was caused by an issue in an artery in my neck, which temporarily affected blood flow to that area.

The good news is:
• It was small and localized
• There was no bleeding
• It did not affect me cognitively
• I do not need surgery and I am okay

At this time, the exact cause of the artery issue is not fully known, and we will continue working toward answers moving forward.

My current symptoms are primarily dizziness and fatigue, which means I need to prioritize rest while my body heals.

As I navigate the next few weeks, I will be adjusting my schedule thoughtfully and carefully.

Here’s what that looks like:

• I will be prioritizing time-sensitive events that cannot be rescheduled, such as weddings & prom appointments
• I will be going through my schedule individually to determine what I can safely accommodate
• As I ease back in, I will be working shorter days, taking fewer clients, and building in more breaks
• I will be using a sitting stool and modifying my workflow to support my recovery
• I also can’t drive for the time being & can’t lift over 25 pounds
