My dad used Lava Soap all the time. If you grew up around mechanics, farmers, welders, gardeners, or anyone who wasn’t afraid of a little dirt, you probably know exactly what I’m talking about. I may have even had my mouth washed out with it once or twice… and let me tell you, it was NOT tasty. 😬

So I set out to create something inspired by those hardworking hands, but gentler, better smelling, and packed with ingredients that actually love your skin back.

Troy Tough is loaded with goat milk, honey, activated charcoal, African black soap, black walnut hull powder, diatomaceous earth, pumice, sand, clay, and rose hips to help tackle grease, dirt, garden grime, and whatever else your day throws at you.

🌰 Black walnut hull powder adds natural scrubbing power.

✨A Little Perfume History… and Why I Love Perfume Oils✨

I have always loved the thought of fragrancing the body the way it was done hundreds—sometimes thousands—of years ago.

Long before sprays and atomizers, people scented their bodies with fragrant oils. In places like Ancient Egypt, oils infused with flowers, resins, woods, herbs, and spices were treasured for beauty, ritual, and daily life. Scent wasn’t sprayed into the air—it was applied directly to the skin, becoming part of the person wearing it.

There’s something beautifully intimate about that.

Perhaps that’s why I’ve always been drawn to perfume oils. They feel less like a product and more like a ritual—a small act of self-care in a busy world.

We got a grown up stove 😍😍😍

I’ve been working off 2 small burners for months!
When we moved into the new house that had 1980 everything-I was still grateful-as I had a big sigh and kept reiterating-it’ll be fine-it’s fine…😂then the two burners started to bite the dust…I had to bite the bullet.
