Hey, I’m Dr. Denise Carlstrom. 👋 I created the Enlighten Your Body Program because my own body was screaming for answers… and no one was giving me 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴.

🌟There are parts of menopause no one warns you about.🌟 But I will!

Joyful movement, connection, warmth, and novelty all stimulate feel-good brain chemistry without stressing your blood sugar.

So, dance in your living room! Take a candlelit bath. Spend slow, meaningful time with people you love. These moments matter more than what’s in the candy box.

🍫 You can still enjoy something sweet. 🍫
Mindful pleasure supports hormones far better than restriction, in my book. Choose dark chocolate, slow down, taste it fully, and stop when you feel satisfied. Satisfaction is a nervous system skill.

💝Move your body with love, not punishment. 💝
Gentle yoga, stretching, or a walk while talking or listening to music helps regulate stress hormones and boost serotonin without overtaxing your system.

Menopause can be rough on relationships. (Can I get an amen?!)

Maybe you’ve been a Queen B (especially if you're still having a period, in the days leading up to it.) Or you just can’t sleep well (he’s snoring and you have to keep getting up to p*e, right?!) Other things can affect your self-image, like the dry “alligator” skin.

What can we do? Start by taking care of YOU.

Get into a sleep routine to calm down. I even keep my phone in the other room to reduce stress before bedtime. I love a good bath with Epsom salts and fractionated coconut oil to help hydrate my skin, too. If you have vaginal dryness, get a moisturizer you can use day and night.

All of this (and other things I suggest in my 40-day transformation program) can go a LONG way towards helping you feel like yourself, so you can enjoy your relationship again!
