Gratitude Changed Everything!

When I stopped chasing “worthy” on the outside...
I found peace on the inside.

Changing my attitude into gratitude for the way I used to see myself made all the difference.

Growing up, my family placed so much emphasis on the outer shell.
Not just the physical body... but the house you lived in, the car you drove, the places you were seen in.

That’s what was deemed “worthy.”

It took years of self-reflection, inner work, and growing my relationship with God to release those falsities.

I learned the hard way:

Loving yourself and feeling good about yourself has nothing to do with the outside world.

And everything to do with the world within you.

Working on positive affirmations + shifting my thoughts daily transformed me into the woman I am today.

I am completely at peace... inside and out.
And I owe it all to my relationship with God!

The face I sculpt now isn’t just skin and muscle.
It’s a reflection of that peace.
When your heart is at rest, your face shows it.

Trying to stay rooted and grounded in this season of change🌳

Navigating the waters of caring for a disabled, aging parent isn’t for the faint of heart.❤️‍🩹

Last month Jonathon and I were filled with such joy - Mom was the best she’s been in years, mentally and physically. We saw glimpses of her spark again.

It was short-lived.

We’re now seeking assisted living level of care. The last three weeks have been countless hours in hospital rooms. Living on coffee. Eating 90% of our meals out.

And my sensitive system is definitely feeling it.

Some days it feels like a tornado has landed right in the middle of our lives.

And yet... we’re choosing to trust. Trusting God’s plan for mom.

Trusting Him with the weight of this responsibility. Trusting that even in the chaos, we’re being held.

If you’re in a caregiving season too - I see you.

It’s heavy. It’s holy. And you’re not alone.🙏
