Thank you so much and for last night at the Uptown… that was hands down one of the best shows I’ve been to. Thank you for keeping me here. Thank you so f*cking much for Poison Oak Project (go donate!)! Thank you for making growing up in Omaha in the 90s-2000s really cool and letting this young, angsty, local music enthusiast sneak into your shows and hang and get to witness my favorite band blow up in real time. Cheers to… The Ranch Bowl! And music (or anything that makes you feel 💕) that keeps you here on earth!

I’m the problem, it’s me.
I also wanna post about my first session ever with Alissa Mead… it was like it was meant to be. I added them on fb because they were in my people you may know (I’ve done their hair before) and they reached out saying they were needing some ppampering and I told them about what I was starting. This was probably the most emotional session I’ve done because we both were so vulnerable with eachother and it was beautiful. There were tears shed and I left feeling like…. Everything was exactly the way it was supposed to be. We also got to cut this suuuuper dope s**g, but of course I didn’t get a picture. This was truly amazing.
Sooooo I realized lately that I keep planning on making posts about each ASMR Hair Service, but idk if it’s the ADHD/low motivation keeping me from doing so ooooooor it’s the fact that each session was so highly personal, deep and personalized that I haven’t quite known what to say. But I’ve decided to break down and post about a few of them because… I’m LIVING for doing these sessions and want to get as many people in to try it out as possible. I’ve never in my life felt more…. Connected to something or like “this is what I’m supposed to be doing.” Because… at least personally, I have left every session feeling like I not only helped in providing some healing to another human, but I leave feeling just a bit more healed myself. I feel very in my element of pampering people, making them feel safe, heard, cared for and then also ultimately I get to do something cool with their hair. The sessions have been lengthy, so I haven’t gotten a ton of pictures of after-hair (I do have some!) and I haven’t even recorded anything yet mostly because of how highly personal each session has been, but it’s my goal to at least start recording, editing and compiling even just reel/TikTok length videos of starting with some sort of meditative technique, the most relaxing bits, and at least some whispered or soft spoken dialogue.
I do want to say one thing I’ve noticed about the sessions before I start posting about each session. I’ve noticed that it seems to *almost* always go a certain way: 1. The first few mins, I can tell the client is a little nervous/wants to laugh. 2. The client begins to relax and enjoy whatever sensations we’ve agreed upon. 3. EMOTIONS: some folks have cried, some have told me personal stories, it just seems to get deep. 4. Calming down and back to total relaxation.
I think I’ve figured out why this seems to happen. I think that normally when being touched by a friend or partner in such a soft and delicate (or even at times more pressured massage) way, there’s usually some type of…. We’ll just say different undertones. I think when clients have gotten through that moment of feeling awkward and realized that they’re in a safe space where I’m not expecting anything from them, the emotions start to come out. This leads me to believe that we as humans are all so touched starved for physical attention with zero underlying meaning… and that makes me really sad. If you are going through something or just in need of some very tingly, deep relaxation… please contact me and we’ll get you a session. I’m still working on getting my flow down, so prices are a bit negotiable 💕
Doing my first ASMR Hair cut with Alissa Mead today!!! It’s now listed on my square 💕😭
I’ve been thinking, I usually work by myself on Mondays. I want to offer something I’d name ASMR Haircuts or ASMR Wash and Styles. I’d probably book out 1.5 hours, speak either in a low voice or a whisper, start with some deep breaths and focused relaxation/meditation techniques, with clients consent, do some light back, arm, neck scratching and tracing… probably some face tracing or use a q tip or soft make up brush on the face, a light neck massage, then wash with a good scalp massage, cut (or not), and then blow dry and style. I’d probably say what I was doing (whispered or soft spoken) while I was doing it and do some positive affirmations. Woukd anyone be interested in this? I’d probably charge 100$? Maybe 150 for the 1.5 hours?
