If a tiny grey hair is ever found in your order… you have Bristow to thank for that. She’s the toughest supervisor around Kansas City!

The symposium came to Kansas City this week, and we got to spend time exhibiting next to these incredible humans ❤️ This work is hard, y’all, to be steeped in grief all the time. So getting to be surrounded by people who are the personification of joy? Big, big gift!

Personally, I’ve been feeling this a lot lately. My brother died in 2008, and we survived the wave of his friends starting to have kids, but now I’m seeing those kids grow up.
I’m imagining my parents as grandparents. I’m imagining myself as an aunt. I’m imagining what his mid-late thirties would be looking like. I’m doing my Executive MBA at and I’m seeing these mid career professionals, with kids, pursuing new passions. I wonder what my brother’s new passions would have been.
Even all these years later, the What Ifs still hit like a ton of bricks.

Enough people said, “I wish I could give this card to myself,” that I created sticker versions of ten of them. Because you deserve a daily reminder of your heart and your power.

Whew! It’s been awhile since our last post! But since social media is not real life, y’all definitely know that things have been working and running behind the scenes over here.
Dedicating the next few days to with here in Denver, and then I’ll catch you all up on some exciting new company developments.

I’m excited to share that published my poem in their Online Summer Edition ✨
In case it isn’t already abundantly clear: I believe it’s so, so important for people to see and hear and learn about grief in the wild, in places they might not expect it.
That belief plays a huge role in my decisions to continuously pop-up as a vendor around Kansas City at various events. Grief isn’t shameful and it only harms all of us if it’s kept hidden away.
