Feeling good today!

A few weeks before my diagnosis on a hike with my husband prior to all of this — a female Monarch landed right in front of me on my hiking path and we had to stop because she was directly where I would have stepped. We admired her and then she fluttered around us for the remainder of our walk. Today- this gorgeous female Monarch landed on the flowers right by my Dad and I and let us close to take pictures then fluttered around our windows all day. It’s rare to see a Monarch. I felt this was her full circle healing message. Monarch Butterfly Meaning:
Monarch butterflies represent strength and the beauty of transformation (given their evolution from caterpillars to butterflies), she admits that the meaning of seeing a monarch butterfly depends on what’s happening in your life when you see it.

“A butterfly landing on you is a spiritual sign that represents you in a season of transformation, growth, spiritual pursuits, and the discovery of your inner truth and wisdom,” she says, noting that it varies based on the person.

Additionally, she says that seeing a monarch butterfly could be a sign that you’re going through a profound internal change that you may not be aware of. In that instance, she says that the sight of the butterfly can serve as inspiration to be strong and keep going—to embrace the journey and own your truth.

This photo was taken the day I found out I had breast cancer. I had flown to Florida to be with Susie — and the nurse called and gave me the news that morning. That night we went out for a beautiful sunset dinner on the beach, walked in the waves barefoot with our dresses pulled up around our knees, ate unbelievable sea bass and drank a glass of the finest wine, and said to each other … it’s all going to be okay. She told me she would be in KC beside me through every step and she bought a one way ticket to town. And she has been right here helping me model wigs, making me giggle and barely sleeping bc she is up nursing me and keeping my pills on track at all hours of the night. I love you so much Susie. Thank you for being my best friend and for helping me through this. 🏹❤️

When I am in pain I find strength in my Dad’s daily example of living with rheumatoid arthritis since he was 21 years old and having to give up physical activities and sports that he loved as his disease took it away along the way— without him ever complaining. He simply finds the next sport or activity to conquer within his new range. My dad hurts a lot and never complains, he never slows down. He is a warrior everyday. 🙌 What an example he has been.

Cussing is part of healing. Trust me. 😂
