This weekend I had the opportunity to watch my lil brother do extremely well at his SWIM MEET 🏊🏽‍♂️🏊🏽‍♂️🏊🏽‍♂️🏊🏽‍♂️!!!

Proud of his work! This is year 2 for him!


Let me add…. LAST YEAR HE LEARNED TO SWIM WHILE JOINING THE TEAM ALL IN ONE SEASON! This kid started from scratch!!! Super impressive!

I guess I woke up this morning in a show & tell energy!

Walked into my salon suite feeling grateful for the growth…

My plants are all looking wonderful although it’s time for them to be re-potted! Much like myself, but slowly we will get there! I’m in a mode of thinking, shedding amd changing!

Not fully ready to re-pot and stretch the roots, but I feel it coming!!!
For this I am GRATEFUL🫶🏽

In honor of Juneteenth today I would like to acknowledge the moment in time when I was able to visit Cartagena, Colombia and travel to a village called Palenge!

Palenge will forever have a place in my heart as this village was a village built and developed by the “First Free People” slaves who sought out land in the midst of slavery and started a new life! Still today “ONLY” descendants of the free slaves families and lineage are allowed to reside on the land. The only way in is by birth or marriage. However, visitors like myself and many others are now allowed to visit and learn about the rich culture and heritage!

Today as many of us reflect on and participate in the many activities in honor or JUNETEENTH please ponder the commemoration of the emancipation of our enslaved ancestors who were first notified in Texas in 1865! As many more began to receive the news it was nationally known and went unrecognized for many years after that. Even still today we as a US people are still struggling with the idea and thought of our people being FREE!

I would love to share more regarding both topics, but I know many people WON’T even read this! So, I will stop here✊🏾♥️🖤💚!!!!

Well guys!

This morning went ALOT better than expected! He was ready to go without a concern in his bones. The smiles on all the kids faces were priceless! Eager and Excited would probably be the best way to describe their facial expressions!

So far, his flight landed in Minnesota and they are having lunch before the long bus ride to the camp site! Looking forward to receiving more updates!

P.S. I did not share the group photos as I am not sure if other parents wanted their kiddos on the internet! But they had a nice size group that went!
