Be.you.tiful Skin Care

It was hard. I’m not going to sugar coat it. It was awful but at the same time beautiful. Our relationship with our mother changed from daughters to caregivers. Things that were once easy for her were difficult or impossible. Watching her struggle to get her words out broke our hearts. Most people would have given up but not our mom. Our mother was strong! Our mother was a positive thinker and she was a doer. She believed that God put her in this situation for a reason. As long as she had make up on, hair done with her pearl earrings, it would be a good day. Not just a good day. A great day. She had many great days and she made others have great days.

She could say one word very clearly. It was “bee-yoo-tifull.” She said it perfectly. People would smile and make a huge deal when they could understand her so she said “bee-you-tiful” often. The flowers we brought her were beautiful. The weather was beautiful. Her new scarf was beautiful. She saw beauty in everything. Her smile lit up a room. She would laugh and her eyes would sparkle and the wrinkles around her eyes and nose would crinkle. She was happy, truly happy. Her happiness oozed from every pore, it was contagious and inviting. She was grateful and thankful for every day that God gave her. She was beautiful. And yes, she had great skin too!
